You know...I have had the pleasure of matriculating here - I say matriculate as I'm actually able to study and grown in my own affairs and interpersonal relationships which include a diverse set of cultures and perspectivea - for several years. The main contributor to my frequent visits are the staff/baristas. Over the years, I would alway be greated with a genuine smile, sincere hug, engaging conversation, honesty, and transparency which gives way to tranquility in these relations. I cannot say I have favorites [in baristas], as each of them bring their wonderful personalities to the stage of customer service (which is not an occupation for the light-hearted and weak). I adore and admire their unique qualities, starting with Anaya, Marissa, Ari, Kenna, etc (including the baristas who have moved on).
Anaya & Marissa are a great, yet I am left baffled by the horrendous reviews from some of these patrons/visitors/critics. I would have to chalk it up to a poor discernment, a recessed mindset, and lack of an healthy EQ and IQ. Priviledged, barbaric, inconsiderate, pompous parrots parading their caged insecurities and insignificant impressions from within self-induced captivity.
These girls...these young women are great AND they are the only reason, outside of the drinks, that I venture out to Arcadia, passing up numerous shops in the process.
I am curious when that second bathroom will be fixed.
Be well and stay smooth, Baristas of Lola (Arcadia).

Read moreI would give a five, because I truly adore this place. It just feels as if the Arcadia location is treated like a step child instead of an actual location of theirs. As of late these last few months, management refuses to restock the Arcadia location with necessities. For months now they've ran out of oat milk and maple syrup. I've been going to Lola for 10 years now, every single day. I've been a patron of Lola since Daniel was the one behind the counter making the coffee. I went every single day for five years to the downtown location and now every single day for five years to the Arcadia location. There's just a night and day difference between downtown and Arcadia, because management treats Arcadia like an unimportant location. The staff is amazing, I love the barista's, I will never have anything bad to say about them. They make my day, every single day that I go in. It's just the management that either refuses to restock cause the Arcadia location or is just lazy to restock the Arcadia location. I've directly spoken to the manager and the owner to communicate this problem and it doesn't seem as if they care, because it has yet to be fixed an entire month later they're still running out of inventory. And don't even get me started on the lack of pastries at Arcadia, in comparison to the downtown location. And why is there still no active standing manager of Arcadia? McKenna has been...
Read moreWhat started last winter as a simple weekend visit has turned into an outright obsession, and -- despite the extremely reasonable prices -- a plea for mercy from my wallet due to the sheer frequency of visits since.
When my work allows it, this is the first place I think of to get coffee, and not just any coffee: the best iced coffee drink I've had in the 17 years I've lived in Arizona. Keep in mind, visiting different coffee shops to try their specialty drinks or their take on classics is a hobby of mine.
Specifically, the iced Cafe Blanco with their espresso whipped cream. I've tried other drinks of theirs, like the dark chocolate Matador and the orange-y Cafe Borgia, but I always find myself walking out with the Cafe Blanco.
It's a perfect blend of sweet and bitter, as they make the shots of espresso on the spot to mix with the white chocolate flavoring.
The staff is just as consistently nice as their drinks are, always willing to chat a bit if you'd like or simply make what you ordered. The vibe of the place is laid back and a great spot to study, chat, or relax with your Cafe Blanco. (Or any other of their drinks or pastries, but that's what I'd be having.)
TL;DR -- try this place, and my recommendation being the iced Cafe Blanco, although you can't go wrong with the others. My feeling that you'll enjoy it is as strong as...
