El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Phoenix

Hopefully, someone at this location will read this review but I doubt it.

The El Pollo Loco on 15255 N. 64th St., Scottsdale, their drive thru is atrocious! In the last 8 months, on at least 5 occasions no one answers at the drive thru. I can see if this at peak hours and short staff, but all you have to say is be with you in a minute. However you hear nothing, not a word.

Today's example was no different. Car in front of me, quick response time and received order. As soon as I pull up, I hear nothing. I asked If someone is there, nothing. Actually timed it to see if I would hear anything, after 5 minutes I just left. There was a car behind me too. As soon as I drove through, they helped the next car. If that's the only way to get help from the drive thru, is for cars just to leave and then you will help the next car, so be it. Never seen anything like. This really needs to change. Talk about a frustrating experience for the customer!!!!!

I actually enjoy the food, but after today I won't coming back. Plenty of other businesses in the Scottsdale Airpark, that I can give...

Dining room was ICE cold, like 60 degrees or something rediculous. Couldnt take it, had to eat outside in car because it was so cold. While waiting for food another patron came up and asked them to please make it warmer to which they went and talked to somebody and came back and said they would change it . Another man walked in and spoke outloud to himself " boy its really cold in here". While eating our food in the parking spot close to the front door a white suv was next to us parked right next to the front door. A uniformed employee came from out the back behind the restaurant and got in this white SUV and sat there for 10 minutes before pulling away. Employees parking where patrons are supposed to park and uncontrolled A/C usage is obvious signs of poor or missing management. The food was fair but chicken chunks in our +$10 salad were too well done and dried out....

Im usually not one to write a review, but I have to write this time to talk about the service. I went in with my family to order take out. The lady that took my order told me I had to wait for mixed 12 piece because it was still cooking. I understood and told her I can wait the 10 minutes she offered. But I also asked her if I can have the drinks, gaucamole and chips while we waited. She stated YES. As I was waiting at the counter for the order, the heavy set señora named Cynthia (who did not take my order) was very rude and asked me if I needed something; her attitude was nasty and made me feel like she was doing me a favor!! The other lady had to tell her that she was already taking care of me. Negative attidtude from employees affects the business and definately not coming to this pollo...
