George & Son's Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Phoenix

If I could give a negative star rating I would. I placed an order for pick up at George and Sons today. I have been coming here since they opened and usually highly recommend the place for it’s great service and food. I will no longer be doing that. I arrived to pick up my food and provided the rep with my card, she tells me the transaction did not go through. She then swipes my card 4 more times and still says the same. Without seconds I get my text notification that the transaction was successful along with my updated balance, but here’s the twist, each time the rep swiped my card was successful. So a 24 dollar order with a tip I gave them totaling 30 dollars was taken from my bank account 5 times. I tried to resolve the issue with the rep and asked for my food and my money to be returned from the additional 4 transactions. She refused. She said they go by what the receipt prints. I asked if they track there inventory/transactions electronically like everywhere else in the modern world and she said no we go by what the receipt prints. I called my bank to see if the transaction had gone through successfully and they confirmed that it did. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager proceeds to tell me that I didn’t have money. How rude and embarrassing! I went as far as to pull up my account and show my balance and transactions before, during and after this incident. She still insists that I didn’t have money. I told her I have never had this kind of problem here and she still insists I don’t have funny. I went next door to subway just to order an item and see if they experienced any issues. I had none and got a great sub by the way. So now I have to work with my bank to recoup the money from this establishment who embarrassed me by insinuating I did not have the means to pay for the food I ordered and traveled to just to pick it up, refused to return my money or even give me my food I paid for five times. Found George and Son Asian Cuisine by luck searching Chinese restaurants near me. This restaurant is absolutely amazing and I am so glad we stumbled upon the listing as we have been trying to find a suitable replacement for the Asian Cuisine restaurant that we no longer enjoy. We have found our new favorite Asian Cuisine Restaurant as we we happy that it is within 15 minutes from our house and a beautiful, clean restaurant. The service is beyond exemplary and our food came out very quickly and right off the Wok. We ordered Crab Wontons and couldn't believe how yummy, fresh, packed with filling and hot in temperature they were. We ordered Orange Chicken which was crispy and flavorful as well as beef and vegetables which came out as Beef and Broccoli. My mistake because I didn't specify Mixed Vegetables, however our server said no problem I will make it right and came out only minutes later as a very hot Beef and Mixed Vegetables dish. The beef was sliced tender chunks and the brown sauce was flavorful. Absolutely amazing as George and Son has excellent customer service and food. We were both extremely impressed by everything and he didn't have to ask once for a drink refill as they were on top of the refills as well. We have found our new favorite Asian Cuisine Restaurant. Called in a to go order and was told it would take 15 minutes to prepare. I called at 5:56 so with order time let's say the call was completed at 6. It took 11 minutes to drive to the location. At 610 I arrived at the restaurant and paid for my order. Staff told me it would take "5 more mintues" do to my order not being put in to the computer until 603. I paid and retired to my car. When I reentered the restaurant 10 minutes later my order was still not ready. I was quoted another "5 minutes". I retired to my vehicle and again began to wait. At 633 I reentered the restaurant thinking 3rd time is the charm, but to my disappointment it wasn't. On the brightside, the gentleman who was waiting for his order, number was 64 while mine was 62, received his food. Order consisted of Kung pow chicken, honey walnut shrimp, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice and pot stickers. At this point I requested a refund. They took 5 minutes to address my issue and offered no real apology. As the person behind the counter was looking for my paid receipt, 5 others had paid by this time, my food had finally arrived.
