Happy Food — Restaurant in Phoenix

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years occasionally when I crave good Chinese food I drive over 20 min.because they were one of the few places that didn’t disappoint when it came to Chinese food. The only issue I had before was how rude the older women are there. Anyways, I was willing to let that go because I was truly happy with the food. However, today I have decided I will no longer give these people my business. The the food quality has gone down hill since the pandemic and today it was beyond horrible. The orange and sesame chicken were over fried and so dry with no sauce whatsoever! The chicken in the lo mein was under cooked, I had to spit it out! Yuck!!! And I bought 2 of them! So disappointing to say the least! I paid $20 for 2 and not just that, but portion sizes are so small for the price. The noodles were small mushy, soggy and they are NOT the same noodles I used to drive here for. None of the the food had flavor with the exception of the Mongolian beef. Paid almost 60 for it to go to the trash! Plus, the lady at the window has no customer service skills! Comes across as unhappy and rude and that’s always been her demeanor. So, good riddens! I had been going to happy food since I was a child being a native...but I will never go to this establishment again! Yesterday I purchased house low mein $11.45. However once I got home I saw that I was charge another $70.95 ! When I called the lady was so nasty saying they would never do that calling me a liar telling me to bring my bank statement after I told her she charged me a total of $80. So before I drove back there I called my bank because I don’t live close they told me she ran my card for $70.95 first then $11.45... and that they did not show a reversal pending. So I called them on my other phone while on phone with bank and now she started to say I reversed it ! So bank representative said well you original said you didn’t do it and why didn’t she notify you of the transaction when it happen instead of trying to hide it ! When my husband went down there do make sure it has been voided and asked her why she didn’t tell him she had ran his card twice she said she didn’t think it went through now my money is still being held !!! She never apologized food should have been free at this point after having to waste gas be yelled a liar knowing she had charged me a ridiculous amount for a small meal !!! Go somewhere that they value their customers and...

Went to Happy Foods it was about 8 at night spent over $130 for food and the food was awful bought some egg foo young it was hard as a rock. There egg drop soup was so salty that we couldn't eat it. We bought that chop suey it was not good. The fried rice what's hard. And the white rice they gave us too many we had six boxes of white rice and it was not good. I think they were in a hurry because there was so many people trying to get food that there were trying to get it out quick. We waited a while for our food about an hour and a half. Not going to wait anymore not going back. I really think Happy Foods don't care if their foods good or not and my daughter spent a lot of money thinking that the food was going to be good and I told my daughter the food was wonderful and then when we got the food it was terrible. The last time I ate there the food was wonderful. So Happy Foods let me down made me look bad I don't think I'm going back. You want good food go to Good Chinese by Food City their food is good all the time. We were going to go there but I talked to my daughter out of it. Good Chinese never let me down.
