Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Phoenix

After an awful experience with customer service at this location and incorrect order. I was provided with a credit for a pizza per the individual or customer service rep working at the time I went to pick up pizza…. A week later I placed order for a XL pizza and went to retrieve the pizza using the free credit. Upon arrival I was told by Sarah the manager she isn’t allowed to provide free pizzas and Howies only allows 20% discounts for incorrect orders on their part. I told Sarah I would be reaching out to corporate to relay the experience I have had to deal with so far. Immediately she changed her energy and told me she could provide a pizza only it would have to be a large not XL. So she is a liar per the information she relayed to me upon my arrival. Because I don’t have time for games I said fine just make the pizza…… I watched a disgruntled manager toss the original order xl pizza to the trash. out of hatred and make me and my child wait 15 min for a large pizza…. I will never order from hungry howies again and I will be sharing this story with everyone I know. Howies can keep there business and hate… good luck with life Sarah but this isn’t how to properly manage a situation when you are in the wrong

This establishment is located in South Phoenix … where majority of all us is either African American or Hispanic .. never should I ever walk into any owned property on this side of town and feel like my money or business isn’t welcomed .

The one lone worker they had (extremely slow , had no other customers at the time I arrived) was ridiculously rude and barely even acknowledged I was in the store . I asked questions about the difference in prices between purchasing in store or online and not only was she rude but she barely even opened her mouth to speak … just looked at me like I was stupid . It makes 0 sense to work at a place where customer service is involved if you don’t have the adult mindset to actually have decent customer service . The pizza was pretty okay , did make my stomach hurt but I’m pretty sure I’m lactose so that may of been it .. I hope she didn’t put something in it . Get better staff or more workers so they don’t feel overwhelmed enough to be an unnecessarily standoffish for absolutely no reason . I shouldn’t of enough had to write this...

I told my self I would not eat here again because about a month ago the person that handed me my pizza looked like a drug addict and wiped their nose with their hands and I should have just walked out the pizza was also missing a topping and the crust was not flavored which is a popular theme at hungry howies, this was a couple of months ago. The most recent time I was her the person was a little sus, but not wiping their nose which is a major upgrade so I had no problem there, they even remembered to add the crust flavor; so I thought they had turned a new leaf and was prepared to resume going here regularly. However! When I started eating my pizza the cheese would not melt properly and made the pizza very unenjoyable, cheese not melting could be a sign of a few things and none of them are good, either the cheese was low quality, imitation cheese, improperly stored, contained too much oil, or it was low moisture. Whatever the reason it was extremely unenjoyable experience. Maybe I will try the hungry howies by my house again, but I will not be...
