I’m a big fan of Jimmy John’s sandwiches—they’ve always been a go-to for me when I’m craving something delicious and supposedly quick. However, my recent experiences at this particular location have left me a bit frustrated. While there’s no question about the quality of the food (still as good as ever!), the service speed is far from the “Freaky Fast” promise that Jimmy John’s is known for.
On my last visit, I found myself waiting in line for an excruciating 25 minutes, followed by another 20-minute wait just to receive my sandwich. That’s a 45-minute wait for a meal that’s supposed to epitomize speed and convenience. After investing so much time standing around, I figured I might as well see it through, but it’s not an experience I’m eager to repeat.
It’s pretty clear to me that the issue isn’t with the employees themselves—they’re friendly and seem to be doing their best under the circumstances. The problem is that they’re consistently understaffed. It’s not fair to the employees or the customers to operate this way. My advice to the owners: It’s time to either hire more staff or consider raising wages to attract and retain more workers. I, for one, wouldn’t mind paying an extra dollar for my sandwich if it meant getting it in a timely fashion.
Considering I’m shelling out nearly $20 for a sandwich, chips, and soda, waiting 45 minutes just doesn’t cut it. “Freaky Fast” should mean exactly that, not nearly an hour for a quick bite.
Additionally, the constant prompts for tips at checkout add another layer of frustration. While I understand the importance of supporting employees, it shouldn’t be the customer’s responsibility to supplement their income because of low wages… This isn’t a sit down restaurant, if you carry it out to my car and take my order, why yes, id leave a tip!A better approach would be to pay employees a wage that reflects their hard work and dedication, which in turn could improve service speed and customer satisfaction.
In summary, I really do enjoy Jimmy John’s sandwiches, but the service at the CC location needs urgent attention. If the wait times don’t improve, I’ll regretfully have to take my business elsewhere. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to live up to their “Freaky...
Read moreI ordered EXTRA avocado and assumed there would be enough lettus on the sandwich to NOT see through to the bread. I was wrong. So when k went back to say I don't see the avocado they said oh it's between the cheese. So I opened it up and said this? I asked for extra. They said there is extra there. I said really? (There was maybe a full teaspoon of avocado smeared over the whole sandwich) So the guy was going to add more then the other worked said we would have to make an all new sandwich. I said I'd take it on the side. Then the guy gave my sandwich back and said "we did add extra". I took the lousy bread back and said forget it. NEVER coming back. POOR management for this to be happening. These boys need to be trained on customer service.
(I must say I Stand corrected on the Management opinion I had. I chose to edit my rating and add this as the Regional Manager responded to my email regarding my upset on how I was handled in this store. I must say the Manager was very sincere and apologized and is taking this as a teaching moment for his staff. Customer Service is so commonly under delivered but I was more than pleased with the Manager FAST response and desire to make it right! You don't find many managers like this these days either, so I was surprised to be handled with such respect and care. I own a business myself and hold the term service very high! I will still eat at this location...
Read moreI ordered the Beach Club with no tomato or cucumber. It had cucumber, extra tomato, no lettuce, no avocado. I ordered a 2nd Beach Club sub ham for the turkey. Apparently you are not allowed to sub meat without a $2 up charge. I inquired with corporate about this and they said in order to get fast service they stick to their one of a kind menu with high quality ingredients. If your staff cannot comprehend subbing ham you have a bigger issue. Waiting for actual store to follow up as corporate said they would. I am not holding my breath and I for sure will not be back. Plus, it shouldn't cost $23 for 2 sandwiches, one pickle, and one drink. Update: I contacted corporate with both concerns. They stood by the upcharge for subbing meat. Then told me the location would call me to address the incorrect order. The location never called me. However, corporate did send me a $10 gift card. I will use it for my husband because he is more forgiving than I am but still won't be back. Thank you corporate. No thank you...
