4/26/25: Short version - you definitely want to get on the waiting list. The ambiance was definitely bar-ish, in that the noise level was pretty high & they serve booze; there were little kids throughout so it is also a family joint, we had a wonderful server, Kelly. The food was decent, but not worth the drive from Laveen -- and yes, we do drive large distances for food.
Long version - This place is busy. We got on the list before leaving home & the wait was 48 - 63 minutes. Due to Saturday afternoon traffic, it took us about 45 minutes to get there, about five minutes to drive around to find a parking spot I deemed less likely to get a dent in my car, yet we still had to wait about five minutes to get seated.
Our server came over quickly & was very friendly. We ordered the cinnamon roll off the bat, along with a couple of Cokes. The drinks were brought out quickly but based on the timing of my pictures, it took about 20 min for the roll to come out -- and it came out with the rest of the food ordered, not before.
The breakfast croissant was pretty good, although the croissant was a bit smashed, and I'm glad I ordered it with avocado, though that tacked on another $2. The Cokes were almost $4 apiece! I'm so happy I brought my collapsible cup to take home the refill. I wasn't overly impressed with the homestyle potatoes (they seemed a bit oily & could have used a bit more seasoning). My sister's All American Breakfast was pretty typical, she, too, paid an extra $2 for avo.
The cinnamon roll came out hot (everything did, actually) and it was light & fluffy, but could have used a less sweet drizzle. I have a sweet tooth so I can't believe I just said that. :-)
They have a fair-sized patio on the north side, and its door was wide open so the restaurant got some good fresh air. We were lucky to be seated by the door. The entire staff seemed happy were bustling everywhere.
I imagine if we lived in the area, I may have given it a higher rating, but the experience was not explosive enough to warrant another 45...

Read moreTl;Dr, good service, okay food, priced too high for the quality, and an owner/manager was rude to staff in front of us.
We came at lunch time on a Saturday and they were busy, but we got a table quickly. (parking sucks here, by the way). The inside was clean and the booths were comfortable. The decor was a little eclectic, but not in a good way. It felt like a mishmash of modern with a hint of southern, but then had multiple TVs with sports throughout, not exactly a great combo, imo.
We ordered a drink, chai tea, and our food, eggs benedict and huevos rancheros with the drink being $5 and the entrees both being over $15. The food came out relatively quickly but nothing, including the drink, we're good enough to justify the price. If the prices were $12-13 a plate they might be 4/5. The chai was barely spiced, and the hollandaise didn't have much flavor; the huevos rancheros was good, though ranch felt a little out of place.
I was on the fence between 3 and 4 for this place when I saw an interaction between a waitress and either the owner or manager. The waitress was clearing a table and the manager pulled her aside to, very condescendingly, point out something to the waitress that couldn't be fixed (a booth was crooked, and there were people already sat there). And if that's the kind of interaction they're willing to have in front of customers, I can't imagine back of the house is a fun place to be when they're around.
So we won't be coming back. I have no interest in supporting someone who is rude or mean to their employees. Treat them with respect, pay them well, and I'll keep coming back, but...
