It's been a while since I've sat in a waffle house and not had the crazy rush of people in the restaurant. When i typically go it's a weekend thing on the way to where ever I'm going for the day. Lines out the door and families waiting to be seated. This time was different. I was early for work and hungry saw the sign and stopped in. The ladies greeted me pleasantly and i sat at the bar. The waitress which i regretfully forgot her name took my order promptly and I sat and drank my coffee. It was a very different experience to see the place so quite and clean. There have been many a joke at Waffle House's expense both from comedians and even my friends a like. The place was clean and smelled of breakfast and fresh coffee. The most enjoyable thing about the place was the others i had observed there. There is something very warming about seeing regulars at establishments and the interactions with the staff. Sitting and eating my food i watched as the ladies and male cook make pleasant conversation with regulars and take orders before they even had the chance to sit. Calling customers by their names and telling them things like happy birthday or just how are you with genuine curiosity is not something you see much any more. This Waffle House was a nice change of pace and would like to be regular here if I was close enough. The food was fresh and my hash browns were good. I could have had the hash browns a little more well done i like crispy hash browns will need to make a note of that next time. Coffee was fresh and they kept it full. Overall i hope everyone gets the opportunity to sit in a quite place like this and just enjoy the coffee and company of...
Read moreNice folks (more on that at the end) but the waffle was flavorless and cool (wouldn't even melt the butter that was sitting on it as it arrived). The syrup was brown sugar water - it didn't taste like maple, butter, or anything - I'd say it's sort of like one of those sugar free diet syrups, McDonald's is great compared to this. I also got large hash browns, smothered, covered, chunked and diced. Topping must have been for the small, it barely made a difference in the large. The bacon was salt flavored and thin, but I kind of like that.. I ordered 5 and didn't feel like finishing (uneaten bacon is a criminal thing...but somehow this seemed forgivable) Honestly if the waffle and syrup had been good everything else would have been passable, but it really was a let down.
Lastly the servers: they are why I gave 3 stars, they were friendly with others, even adjusting the temperature when they saw a regular come in who apparently likes it warmer. That's charming and great to see these days. The place was also super clean. My server was good and she sensed I was in a quiet mood so she didn't constantly try to engage me - that's nice. When I asked them to microwave the waffle (I just told them I had waited too long, didn't mention it came cold) they cheerfully made me new one! Now here's the twist: the 'butter' wouldn't melt on the fresh hot one! Then I noticed it's not butter, it's a whipped spread that must be designed to stay solid even in the Arizona sun! Clearly the problem is the food supplied, such a shame but that's a deal breaker. Dang, I want the food to be better because these great people deserve to be able to serve...

From the moment we walked in, the inviting atmosphere of Waffle House in Chandler, AZ, set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The menu offered a variety of options, but we decided to go for the classics: steak and eggs, waffle and bacon, and hash browns.
The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection, with the steak being tender and juicy, complemented by the perfectly runny yolk of the eggs. The waffle was fluffy and golden-brown, with just the right amount of sweetness to start the day off right. The bacon was crispy and flavorful, adding a smoky touch to our meal. And let’s not forget the hash browns; they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, seasoned just right.
Our server was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our glasses were always full and our plates were never empty. Their service was top-notch, making us feel welcomed and valued.
Overall, Waffle House in Chandler delivered an exceptional breakfast experience that we will surely return to. With its delicious food and excellent service, it’s no wonder I give it a...
