Mis Raices Cafe — Restaurant in Phoenix

I stopped by today because I love supporting small businesses and I am so glad I did. I ordered the Horchata latte and it was delicious. The vibe is very cute as well. The only reason I can't rate it 5 stars is because of the service I received from one of the Baristas. I was extremely excited to check this place out but since it's my first time, I was asking questions. The girl helping me, Alexa P (according to the receipt) was not very nice. I brushed it off because at first I thought I probably just took it wrong. I immediately felt uncomfortable asking more questions resulting in me ordering the wrong coffee for my mom. The second time I interacted with her, she was rude again. I commented to my mom and we said maybe she's overwhelmed because there were 5+ customers at the time and she was trying to make all of the coffees in a timely manner but then I noticed she was very nice to a different (male) customer. I still tried to brush it off and not let her ruin my experience but I quickly realized that she did ruin it for me. I had a total of 3 interactions with her and they were all unpleasant. Her attitude definitely changed my mind about bringing my friends to this place if she's going to be working. The other barista seemed pretty friendly though. Hopefully they can hire friendlier people that don't mind answering peoples questions...

There's maybe 1 out of a few baristas here that is nice. this place is selective on who they are welcoming with. 15 min drive to support local just isn't worth it when you get bad service. I was given not one but two side eye/glares by Melanie by simply asking for a drink carrier. I'm guessing she assumed I only had one drink and was treated as I was asking for too much. She then with attitude said "we can help you to your car..." after i apologized and said I have three more drinks. After all of that, I had to call for help and then she comes out with a drink carrier after saying they didn't have any....again, im guessing she just didn't want to have to go get more. Not sure why I was given this treatment as my family and I go out of our way to have something other than Starbucks. Visited many times, this experience...

I stumbled upon this little gem, nestled in between other local businesses. It is off grand, so to some, it might be a little of a challenge to get to. Looks for all the hanging art on the sidewalk, Mis Raices is a few steps away.

I saw the sign outside for Cupido Latte (raspberry latte with strawberry cold foam). I’m not necessarily a big coffee drinker, but, I have to say, the coffee I had here was exceptional. While ordering that, I wanted to have something to match my latte, so I ordered a strawberry, vanilla, bean scone. It crumbled like a scone should, it was moist, and it was great. I could taste the hint of strawberry. My latte was perfectly flavored—not too sweet, yet thick and it certainly packed a punch.

Staff was friendly and service was fast. Plenty of parking. And…support...
