Against my better judgement and intuition we ordered from here. It was a costly mistake!!! We WERE loyal customers! The day after and as I type this review, I am still disgusted and pissed off by the time and money wasted on and the amount of inedible food we had to throw away.
Here was our order and cost:
There were NO eating utensils, napkins and only 2 fortune cookies and 4 soy sauce packets.
We threw away the sesame chicken, shrimp egg foo young, shrimp fried rice and the house special Mein fun We threw the rest away today because as my daughter said “it wasn’t going to get any better”.
I hate to waste food. There is so much of it in the world but, to have the audacity to charge for less than mediocre is diabolical!
I actually only had one bite of most of the food of which I spat every bite out. As a a chef, I was gobsmacked at how awful the food and our experience was.
I finally called the restaurant in about 30 minutes late; the same time it took to make it home and take a bite. The manager said his name was Ben and the fact that o had to debate with him about how awful the food was and to demand a controllable of a refund was beyond me. I deserved a full refund minus the boneless barbecue pork and I NEVER order pork nor eat it.
I have yet to receive the refund for the two meals I agreed to under duress. The more I think about it the more I want to file a claim with my bank.
I was robbed! No wonder they give away food with a certain total. Sadly, the negative reviews are true. I have eaten around the world and this experience is on the top of my DO NOT EAT LIST!
The last picture was showing all of the meals...
Read moreThe person they hired for their soliciting is rude and uneducated. I watched him park his old gray car off to the side of the street. He proceeded to walk through everyone's yard to drop off paper menu's. He walked right by me while I was doing yard work as if it was okay for him to be walking through my yard. I stoped him and told him that there's no soliciting in this neighborhood and that it was really rude of him to be walking through everyone's yard. He started talking about how he was out here to heal people and stated that he can tell that I'm hurting. I told him I wasn't interested in what he had to say & that it had nothing to do with the fact that there's a big sign on the gates stating "No soliciting, violators will be prosecuted." (This is a gated community). He stated that rules are to be broken. I was like, we'll I'm pretty sure if I called the police, they would have you escorted out of this neighborhood. He then tells me that I'm uneducated and that he's actually a doctor... a Brain surgeon. I informed him that I understand that he's just trying to make a living but there's no way a doctor is going to be out here going door to door, walking through peoples private property, handing out chinese menus. He continued to tell me that I'm hurting and that there's a reason why we're having this conversation. Is this guy out of his mind!? Am I wrong for pointing out to him that there no soliciting and that it was rude of him to be walking through everyones yards? He could have simply said I'm sorry, I didn't realize there's no soliciting and left. Instead he stayed to argue with me and act weird and lie about being a brain surgeon. You would think people with the simple job of handing out menus wouldn't need any training, but please go over some rules with him. But then again... according to him "Rules are to be broken" I have this entire...
Read moreI’ve had fliers from this restaurant taped to my door pretty much weekly for years. After years of dealing with their trash on my doorstep I finally asked their employee as politely as I could, “please stop leaving trash at my door.” The employee’s response was to walk forward, get right in my face, and say, “live with it.”
Outstanding customer service, the seemingly homeless employee made sure to get right up in my face while saying it and was 100% attempting to be threatening. Based on his response and the tone of his voice I wouldn’t trust a single thing that comes out of their kitchen.
Edit: Updating my review to share what I can home to the next time Mr. Cooks left a flier. What a coincidence, I wouldn’t doubt that it came out of their kitchen. It’s definitely enough for me to order a camera for my front door. This week alone I’ve come home to see their piles of trash littered across the neighborhood and blowing down the street this week. Thank you Mr. Cooks, I make sure to let everyone know about your restaurant!
It’s absurd the police can issue a ticket for littering, but a horrible company owned and operated by terrible people is allowed to dump who knows how many thousands of pieces of litter on the same other people’s properties across the city every day with zero repercussions, leaving others responsible to pick up their garbage and throw it away for them. If anyone who wasn’t advertising went and threw thousands of any other piece of trash on the same people’s doorsteps once a week they’d end up arrested… I have half a mind to stop when I drive past their restaurant everyday to leave a big flier on their front door for my company that sells opposum, coyote, horse, and other...
