Just left the place after another very satisfying meal. This place has been around for a while and there has been some changes but the server, I think her name is Beauty, has been there as long as I can remember. (I used to think she was the owner cause she's always there 😆) She is not a typical "nice" server you see in other regular restaurants. But once you get to know her, she's like that aunt who seem quite brute and mean but underneath very caring and warm. The reason I decided to write this review today after so many years of visiting the place is because of her. She has always been quite attentive to our needs (I think she's bit more attentive to families with kids or at least she's always been like that with our kids) and today when we went in for lunch buffet, we arrived quite late around 3:30 and the buffet closes at 4. There were already a lot of people finishing up and wasn't much left. She didn't really greet us since there were a lot of people which didn't bother us knowing her that's how she is. After we sat down, she brought us the naan bread and even without us asking, she went back and came out soon after and came to our table to let us know fresh tandoori chicken just came out. Then again she comes back with a basket full of fresh fried samosas and brought some to our table first. When I looked at her she said that the other people ate already and wanted make sure we got to eat them before they were gone again! How sweet of her (now she said all this without a smile just to give you an idea what she's like. 😁).
The food, if you've eaten here you know it's good. So if you are looking for a good Indian restaurant you want to become a regular, this place is it.
Just wanted to put this out there for those who were taken back by her attitude, that there's more to her than how she seems.
Now for us, we will continue be their...
Read moreThis is one of the worst Indian store/restaurant I've ever been to. I've been to this place 2 times for lunch when I moved to central phoenix from north Phoenix. The food was not bad, but when I went 3rd time for lunch the curry they gave me probably couple days before they made it, because the curry was nasty. So I never go back for lunch, but I'm keep going back for groceries because this is the only store for Indian groceries near by central phoenix. I didn't see the reviews before going there because I would have known that the old lady at the counter was so rude. She doesn't even know how to talk with customers. The owner should teach her first how to treat the customers and then put her on the counter. I don't know why the owner putting her on the counter even this many number of reviews complaining about her. Because of her behavior today I didn't even buy the groceries which are in my cart and didn't even take the samosa which I already paid money for that. Everybody can understand how I frustrated with her words. This is my first time review which I'm writing to letting everybody know aware when you're visiting better don't talk with her. I never going back there. I drive 13 miles to visit other Indian grocery store rather going there which on my way from office to apartment. I wish I had a chance to give...
Read moreI have been coming here for years. It was my favorite spot for Indian food. Whether take out or the buffet, the food was amazing. I was craving some chicken Tikka masala and somosas so after a year of not being here I decided to pull up. The prices had gone up but that is the norm for everywhere nowadays. I ordered the chicken masala and somosas. I waited for about 20 minutes for my order , in a hot no ac room with 2 fans blowing. There was no one in there besides me but they were getting online orders. When I got home and starting eating my meal I noticed a lot of differences from the last time I was there, or any other Indian place I have been. The chicken was grilled chicken chunks mixed with a bland "sauce" and chunks of almost raw onion and green peppers. I have never had chicken masala with chunks of grilled chicken and chunks of raw green peppers and onions. This was by far the worst chicken masala I've ever had in my life. I must say the samosas were still amazing, but my overall experience, with the price and quality of the meal left me very disappointed. I will not be back there, and will be trying other spots who do authentic...
