As a contractor who goes to Home Depots all over the valley 5-7 times a week, this has to be one of the worst ones I've ever visited. Pull up and park my truck and trailer and there are literally people smoking drugs off tin foil 10' from my truck. If I didn't have to go in and try to warranty a blown water heater, I would have driven right out of there. Kids and families are less than 20' away and you let this happen? Shameful. Don't even get me started on all the illegals milling around. They used to at least have Phoenix PD down there in marked cars, but I guess that cost too much to try and keep customers safe and away from the criminals while they shop. And who decided it was a good idea to put in a speed bump as soon as you enter off 36th street to slow traffic in even more. Now we move to the reason for my visit. Had a customer say the Rheem water heater they bought there 2.5 years ago was leaking. Drove down and confirmed it. Pulled it out and took it back. Had the receipt, water heater was registered through Rheem and had several years left. The first returns lady was absolutely clueless and after about 15 minutes finally got a manager as the returns line was now out the door. Despite having the physical receipt from this store, they couldn't find it in their system or do anything. She ended up not issuing a store credit and then charged $458 for a new one. I asked where is the credit as that is always done first, then you use the credit for the new one. Then had to wait even longer for another manager to come and refund that money charged back and explain everything again. Second manager then claimed that water heater warranties are prorated and they could only give $458 without a receipt. I said the receipt is right here? Still couldn't make it right. I know for a fact as a Rheem pro dealer that isn't true, and pushed back. Was basically told, sorry that's all we can do. After wasting an hour of labor dealing with these idiots, walked out with a still bad water heater and no resolution. Ended up calling home depots customer support number who then confirmed that the warranties aren't prorated. Same run around, you'll have to deal with the store. Not me, I'll be on the phone with Rheem tomorrow and letting them know of their deceptive practices. Rheem I know for a fact will honor their warranties, have dealt with them multiple times replacing bad gas valves, thermostats, elements ,and other parts that have failed prematurely. The Covid years saw Rheem quality plummet, but at least they owned up and would overnight parts to down customers. Home depot needs to take a lesson from them, admit your faults, address them and move on. But judging by the lack of responses to any other negative reviews, I know that won't happen. Bottom line, stay away from this store and don't buy a cheap Rheem performance water heater here. You'll regret it, seen it many times. Luckily this one didn't ruin anything, but you may not...

Previous Review: Please⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've been a huge proponent of IKEA pretty much my entire adult life (I am 56 y/o) Everything (I thought) IKEA stocked was cutting edge, new and modern- no other store could even compete. BOY, WAS I MISTAKEN. Recently, I was doing a total remodel of a 1000 sq ft condo in central Phoenix. without even shopping anywhere else I got everything from IKEA - lighting , shelving , plumbing fixtures etc...Trusting Everything I bought was the coolest the industry had to offer. After installing it all, I went into a Home Depot for some hardware and was absolutely blown away with the many many choices they had for all of the same things I bought at IKEA. Home Depot choices exceeded IKEA 's BY FAR. I regretted not checking other places before blindly trusting and purchasing everything from IKEA. In fact it upset me so much that I got an immediate migraine ,upset stomach and had an anxiety attack (while still in the Home Depot) I still can't believe how far IKEA has fallen compared to the Home Depot in what they stocked. I guess it's an end to an era, what happened? Have we pissed off the Swedes or something? because there is NO comparison. What a let down, I mean talk about disillusionment. But so nice to know i can just buzz over to Home Depot now instead of the road trip to IKEA😀 Advice to any other Lifelong IKEA customers-before buying ANYthing from IKEA, make sure you check your local Home Depot, because I found better choices in EVERY case, The Home Depot blew IKEA out of the water-HANDS DOWN! I received the best customer service in the paint dept today. Larry really went above and beyond. He was very professional & VERY nice. Also everything seemed well organized & the restrooms have been impressively remodeled and are nice & clean. NO HOT DOGS ANYMORE THO 😕 The best part was Larry, he was super nice!...
Read moreDo not use their kitchen/bath design team, especially Tammy... we started the process in July, she's rarely in the store... we called the past 21 days in a row (this is November mind you), and every. single. time. she is out of the store, on vacation, away from her desk, post-its are placed on her monitor to call us, and not one call back. I had to finally email Craig Menear, the Chairman and CEO of all of Home Depot who is responsible for their nearly 400,000 employees, and amazingly he read my emails, got their senior escalation team involved, and we all got on a conference call. This process is just in need of total restructuring. During the call, they just couldn't meet our deadline to get cabinets within 30 days (even though they have all measurements and specs done), so we took our business to IKEA... design and selection done in one day... all cabinets in stock, we could have taken them that day but we chose delivery for $79. The total cost is about half of Home Depot, the product is now better than Home Depot, and we're probably not going back to Home Depot for anything ever again, which is sad because I've always been very loyal to the company but this is my third kitchen with them that they've messed up so much that the process has taken - or would have taken - over 6 months from the first time you walk into the store. Incredibly, incredibly frustrating. So don't use Tammy in Kitchen Design, don't use Home Depot for cabinetry, and Jason the store manager won't do much either... rather than protecting their jobs by taking care of customers, they're short-sighted and are protecting their jobs by protecting their employees when an issue arises, and this will lead to the eventual demise of the brand, a brand where everything they sell is now available online for less money and delivered to you in less time without even needed to drive to/from a store. The land for this location is supposedly turning into a massive multifamily development anyway, starting with everything east of Walmart all the way to 40th Street closing... then the other half will be redeveloped, so this store won't be around...
