Smashers EATS — Restaurant in Phoenix

This place has been on our list of places to try for a while but haven't had the time to go. We finally went for our sons first birthday and so glad we finally went. The food was AMAZING! I had the MOS burger with garlic Parmesan loaded fries, my husband had the Maui Wowi burger with BBQ loaded fries, and my son had the kids Mac n cheese. The burgers were juicy and tasted so good. We practically devoured them. The Parmesan fries were not too garlicky but had a good amount of cheese to them and the fries itself were perfectly crispy, in my opinion. My son ate a good chunk of the Mac n cheese barely throwing any on the ground. He's usually a finicky eater but not last night. We got an Oreo milkshake to celebrate our birthday boy with and that was also delicious. The service was also phenomenal. We were the only ones there and didn't realize that it was an hour before closing when we arrived, but the staff didn't make us feel rushed or anything. They allowed us to enjoy our food and family time.

Unassuming cafe located in a small interstate mountain town. That being said it has some fantastic food. I grew up and currently live on the east coast where hole in the wall hidden gems are hard to find but 100% worth the effort. This place rates with the best of them. I ordered the pastrami burger with potato salad. The pastrami is some of the best home smoked I've ever had. It added just enough smokey flavor to a juicy meaty patty. It was a great burger that I wish I had closer to home.

Now let's talk about the potato salad. At first it looked like Tetris pieces in a bowl. I was amused and intrigued. Seeing potatoes cut into random squares and rectangles was different but I didn't care once I tasted it. It was delicious, the pickle and dressing went very well together.

All in all I was impressed, the cashier/waitress was friendly and I will come back if I'm ever around...

Super delicious!! 1st timer I had their cheese burger (big and juicy!) French fries(hot, crispy and well seasoned) and the chicken bacon salad that came with freshly made chopped bacon!! I've never had fresh bacon on a salad before! I'm from Avondale and will definitely come back!
