We did not go to Spinato's for pizza. We are familiar with the pizza and my family is not crazy about the sweet sauce. But since my brother-in-law is going low carb and wanted wings and salad for dinner, we were in search for a place that served wings (for him) and wine (for me). Spinato's is close so we went there. The dining room was mostly empty when we went. The waiter greeted us and took a drink order. Drinks came pretty quick and we ordered. I ended up being the only one to order wings and salad as planned. My brother-in-law ordered the family style antipasto salad (no carbs and lots of meat right?) and my husband ordered The Wrigley ( a beef and sausage sandwich with chips). My wings and salad came out first and by themselves. There seemed to be some kind of misunderstanding with the waiter when we ordered our meals. I guess somehow he thought that my order was a first course for everyone. I'm not sure, but my food came out separately from the others. The wings and salad sat in front of me and when the waiter came by he uttered something about making a computer error when entering the order. 10 minutes later I still had not touched my food because I was waiting to eat with my group. The waiter came back again with a refill of iced tea. He offered to bring my food back to the kitchen to reheat and said the rest would be out soon. I declined the offer of a reheat. Eventually the rest came out. My husband had nothing negative to say about his sandwich. My bro-in-law was very disappointed in the amount of meat and cheese that came in his salad. And I can't say I blame him. The family sized salad that he ordered (with the expectation of taking half for lunch the next day) cost him $16+. It was pretty much the size of a regular dinner salad you would get anywhere else with all lettuce and practically no meat. Completely ripped off. If you are looking for a nice, easy weekday meal, this is...
Read moreToday was my first time eating at Spinatos, and I had a wonderful experience! I went in with 25 minutes to order & eat. Although, the pizza came at a good timeframe I had to take my meal to go. There was a misunderstanding with my order and I called in and I spoke to Marissa, and after explaining the situation she recommended I speak to the manager, Jenelle. Janelle listened to me and she quickly made a decision to make it perfectly right. As I was waiting for the right order I spoke to Marissa again, and she was such a joy to talk to as well. Jenelle brought me my new order and you could tell Jenelle has a good relationship with her employees. Marissa looked very comfortable and you could see she appreciates her manager. Nice. My point, I got wonderful customer service above and beyond from Janelle. She was very quick to resolve my problem and she was very caring as well. The fact that she wanted my order to be right, hot and provided all I needed for a good meal was thoughtful. If I was an employee I would definitely want to work for someone like Jenelle. I also overheard Jenelle speaking to another employee as I was waiting for my food; that was a nice and productive conversation. It was nothing personal, but a manager who cares about proficiency and her employees. Thank you, Jenelle, for being such a great person! You made a customer out of me!
In conclusion: the pizza was DELICIOUS. Overall, a wonderful experience, because of nice people who clearly like their place of employment. I highly recommend...
Read moreWe had a large party attending and called ahead of time, but the woman on the phone said they did not take reservations. We showed up extra early to put our name in, and were told by the two staff members at the front that the wait would be about forty minutes due to the size of our party, and asked for my phone number to text me when our table was ready. I gave them my phone number and immediately received a confirmation text saying we were on the wait list.
After about forty five minutes or so, one of the two people working the front desk came over to our party waiting out front and asked if we ever planned on putting our name in, with a lot of attitude. We tried explaining that we had already, but he said we were not put on the list, even though he was standing right there when I put my name in. His manager came out to talk to us and I showed him the text, but he said it would be another thirty to forty minutes to give us a table because another large party had arrived during the time we were waiting, and were seated before us. The manager handled the situation the best he could, but the front desk really dropped the ball here.
We waited to be seated and were given two tables separated by a fireplace and a tree, making it difficult to celebrate a birthday like we had planned. The food was decent, and our waitress was very good. I don't know if I would return to this...
