I absolutely love this place! If you are considering a visit, definitely give it a try-- you won't regret it! I love that Steep offers a full vegan menu, and that there is such a large variety of creative drinks. The multitude of options are truly unmatched!
The only reason I am leaving "3 stars" in regards to the service, however, is because the first face upon entry to the cafe is a cashier who does not seem to care for the customers at all. Whenever my husband or I have asked a question, it doesn't seem like she truly knows the answer nor does she care to have the customer clarify their question, just in case the question was misunderstood. I recently came in and was missing part of my order (a baked good) and after waiting 10 minutes, she finally returned from the back, only to stare at me until I told her about the missing item. She then retrieved the item from the display and extended her arm toward me in silence. No asking how she could help me when she returned to the back, and no apology. Just as a previous review said, I understand that people can have days where there are feeling under the weather, but when this behavior occurs every day, I think it should be reconsidered who is serving as the "face" of the cafe, as this likely goes beyond an "off" day and is just how the individual is as a person. Everyone has different skills and abilities, but for this woman, customer services is just not a strength. I can honestly said that I've never seen this woman smile a single time.
Now I hate to give such a low rating to a wonderful small business, as I do understand that ratings mean a lot, but I have noticed this "off" behavior with the cashier every single time I've visited so I wanted to speak up about it. As someone who can see this cafe's potential, I only want to provide honest feedback on how I believe the cafe can continue to grow and succeed. The chef, on the other hand, is wonderful! He always comes across as enthusiastic and passionate. I would definitely prefer it if the person serving as cashier was as cheery as him. (: (If it is a must for the current cashier to continue working in the cafe, perhaps she would be more successful somewhere in the back, away from customers? Although I am sure this would continue to be a difficult placement, since the cashier typically has long...

Looking for a spot where you and your vegan partner can both walk away full and happy? Welcome to Steep Tea Company, where the veggies are as fresh as your partner’s plant-based banter, but the hearty meals are so good even a die-hard carnivore (like me!) might just convert.
Take it from someone who stumbled in by accident and left swooning over everything on the menu. Here’s what I tried:
OG: Toasted English Muffin, Cream Cheese, Zhoug Tofu, Sausage (yes, vegan, but I wouldn’t have guessed), Cheese, and their slaw, which I’d happily eat daily.
SEB: Toasted English Muffin, Cream Cheese, Sausage, Umaro Bacon (crispy, smoky goodness), Cheese, and a Yo-Egg Sunny-side Egg – a sunny little miracle.
Beef Banh Mi: Bulgogi Beef (beyond amazing), Pickled Carrots & Daikon, Cucumber, Bachan sauce, and Jalapeño, all cradled in a Toasted French Roll. Perfect balance of bold and bright.
Ube Matcha Latte: 100% Ube, Ceremonial Matcha, and Oat Milk. This drink is a revelation. Absolutely amazing taste, all their teas and drinks are really good...

Read moreSteep Tea Company is a modern gem for anyone who loves creative tea and plant-based bites. Their handcrafted drinks, like the vibrant Ube Matcha and floral-infused Rose Tea Latte, are visually stunning and deliciously smooth. I’ve also tried the Strawberry Matcha and Blueberry Iced Tea, both refreshing and unique. On the food side, their vegan breakfast sandwiches like the Deluxe Sandy and “The Poached” are satisfying and inventive, it’s impressive how much flavor they pack into every bite. The pastries are equally delicious, and everything feels made with care. The tea lounge has a clean, calm atmosphere with bright lighting and a minimalist, cozy layout. The staff is welcoming and really happy to explain the creative menu. It's a peaceful, upbeat place that’s great for a solo coffee-like tea session, a relaxed brunch, or a low-key catch-up...
