I’ve been to a CAVA one other time and loved it. I wanted my husband to try it so while we were in town we went to the location on East Camelback Rd.
The front door was locked for no obvious reason. When we walked in to the side door, another patron was walking out, but otherwise we were the only ones in the store. The guy at the counter told us they didn’t really have anything and he pointed to the spread. I asked what was missing, he couldn’t tell me. He said they didn’t have pita chips, which I had wanted, but then after checking in the back he said it would just take a few minutes.
He had to keep going to the back because there weren’t serving utensils. He barely spoke and seemed flustered at every turn. Finally, one of the multiple employees in the back came out to help him with a fresh batch of the most over seasoned pita chips I’ve ever had. I love pepper but these were literally coated in pepper and salt such that they were inedible.
The drink machine had no ice and we were told it would take a very long time for that to be refilled. Four workers in the restaurant that we could see, plus more in the back, but no one could refill the ice or the dwindling drinks in the machine.
The service was haphazard, slow and filled with attitude. We kept saying it was fine that they didn’t have certain items and we said we didn’t mind waiting on things. But they continued to be disengaged and seemingly annoyed they had to work at all.

EDIT: I got to the restaurant to pick up my food, and the app said it would be done by 1:15. This is now the third time at this location that my order was not done on time. Previously, they have said, "okay, because you are here and we are late, you will jump previous orders." Sierra was not only rude with her body language and tone, but she was lacking any customer service skills. She walked away from me as I was asking her a question and rolled her eyes.
I explained to her that I got here and watched the entire in-person line go through before I got my food. I asked if someone from the in-person line could make my food since they refused to have the online-ordering counter make it until it was up.
Then I asked for her to cancel my order because I couldn't wait 10 minutes AFTER my order said it would be done, and she said I had to do it myself. I showed her that there was no spot on the app to do it. She said "I don't know," and walked away. I then asked to speak to her manager. By the time the manager came out, another girl on the line took initiative and got my order done. Her tone was so much better, and she actually showed empathy for getting it done.
Then I get in my car and there are no napkins or utensils that I specifically checked that I wanted...

I can appreciate the staff came to work and the location is open but what is hard to appreciate is lack of service and kindness. I blame Cava corporate in a whole, these staff members seem very unhappy to be here and overwhelmed. This is the worse location I have ever been to. I believe it is Cava corporation responsibly to ensure their employees are not only felt appreciated and happy to do their job while at work but also to read these reviews and make some changes. As a local in the area I will never recommend or visit this location again. The Resturant was dirty and although the cashier had gloves on to handle the money she was still seem handling the pita bread with the same gloves she was taking money with.
I ordered lunch sat in the restaurant and listened to how the staff handled orders which seemed very rude there was no greetings. I also ordered a Togo bowl through the app because I was so blown away how rude the staff was I preferred to just order it online. Not did it only take twice as long to make the order as it indicated online when I asked if they where running behind the overwhelmed 1 person show to handle all online orders was very rude and short with me only stating these ppl where first your ticket just came over. (Although she did not realize I had been sitting in the restaurant the whole time.)
