I hardly ever do bad reviews but unfortunately I felt I needed to write this. So on 9/15/17 I came in to get a simple Gel Polish $20.00 change and a pedicure, a "La Vie En" Pedi Number 3 ($45.00 Pedicure). So right off the bat they have me do a pedi. Tiffany the receptionist walks me back to the pedi chair and asks me to sit down. I guess the nail technician didn't want to service me, she made it a point to have me sit in the next chair for another tech to service me. (Mindy) The nail tech sits the next lady that was sitting next to me in the lobby in the pedicure I was originally in. No, the client wasn't a request. Now the pedicure includes a marine mask, sugar scrub, callus treatment, paraffin wax, cooling mask, and extra massage - why I obviously chose this package. Well I received all the products with horrible service. It was a mess! For starters, she did not apply any of the products correctly. She kept hurting me even after I asked her to be careful multiple times. She gave a two minute massage and left all my toenails all different shapes (crooked, jagged, rounded and squared) then called it done. Feeling relieved that it was over. Guess who does my gel polish change? Yup, the same lady who just did my pedicure. (Mindy)
Three of my fingernails were shorter the the rest. The receptionist saw my nails and immediately offered to get them fixed. I asked that they please do something to make them as long as the rest of my natural finger nails. Well she applied acrylics... which were $4 each finger nail. Which was not communicated to me! The service I received to "fix" my nails was just as atrocious as my toes. She left my nails incredibly thick, wide and uneven. The acrylic application was done carelessly, messily and aggressively. The three nails that were "fixed" were full of tacky, undried acrylic. It was all over my hands. Her solution? ..... was to try and drill it off. I was fed up and had had enough. I repeatedly had to ask her to let go of my had then I ran to the front desk. When Tiffany, the receptionist, asked me how my service was and I began to tell her. She agreed and asked if I wanted to wait to have it fixed again. At that moment I just wanted to leave. So I declined the offer but told her I would come in the the next day or so. After paying $64 with my 10% off, not including tip..... I got to the car and cried. I was so upset. I had wasted 2 HOURS of my life STRESSED THE ENTIRE TIME!
I knew if I didn't go back in I wouldn't get it fixed. So I collected myself went back in today (9/17/17) and asked if I could still get my nails fixed. The lady that passed on doing up the pedicure and the lady who helped me originally - tried to pretend that nothing was wrong with my nails. She didn't really make an effort to do much until Tiffany, the receptionist, came to sit down next to her. So after she "fixed" my nails. I sat down at the pedicure chair and she insisted that there was anything wrong with my toe nails. They were visibly all different lengths and shapes. In the end all she did was file my already short, nubby toenails. They look a little better but my toenails are so short, I have to let them grow out.
I just left the salon and Nick, (my usual and preferred nail technician) actually FIXED my fingernails. I feel SO much better and actually love my finger nails. As always, his service was EXCELLENT. He always gives me what I ask and pay for (which I stress) is not much - time, common sense, communication and quality application. I could go on and on about how pleased I am every time with Nick's service. I am never disappointed.
Unfortunately, there wasn't anything they could do about my toenails because "the service had already been done." I was told they can't do any refunds or exchanges (there is also a sign at the front desk). I am still disappointed because I paid a lot of money for only a partial of the problem to be fixed. Bottom line - do NOT let Mindy do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe facility is very nice looking. I have visited other places in the local area and I will say this is the cleanest, most professional looking one.
My first and only experience so far with them though unfortunately wasn't great. I made an appointment for me and my friend for two Pedicures. When we arrived they did immediately sit us in chairs to soak. I informed the front desk that I had gel on my toes since I know they needed to be wrapped for a good 10-15mins prior to pedicure.
When we received an individual to begin our pedicures, it was just one person and they began on my friend. Before she started on him, I left her know "I have gel on my toes that needs to come off", hoping she would at least wrap my toes before starting his pedicure. She just told me to tell the person who does mine so they can take it off and she proceeded to do my friends pedicure. 20 mins into our scheduled pedicure time, I still have not been helped and was just sitting soaking my feet.
Another person showed up for a pedicure an was seated an had someone begin her pedicure. This was very frustrating to me since we had appointments and were by this point, 25 mins into our appointment, my friend was nearly done with his pedicure and I have yet to have the gel from my toes removed and now another person is being helped so I said something and made it very obvious I was frustrated. The woman doing my friends pedicure finally paused and wrapped my toes to begin taking the gel off, which ONLY TOOK 4 MINS. Had she just done this in the beginning, it wouldnt have been an issue.
After she wrapped my toes, not even 5 mins later I finally had someone come and begin my pedicure. Since my toes were only wrapped for 5 mins, they had to buff the gel off my toes which was very upsetting because that hurts me. Had they just listened to what I was saying in the beginning, this would have all been prevented. I would have provided a better tip and I would have given a 5 star rating.. it was an upsetting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in a few days ago in the morning time about 30mins after they opened wanting to get a fill for my nails. I was takin to a lady who didn't greet me nicely at all and just starting doing my nails I am not nail savvy so I asked her what coating was my original nail because I had them done somewhere else prior and she said she didn't know I mentioned to her is this gel or powder or acrylic? Because I needed to know what kind of fill I was getting or if I need a new set, she acted as if I was asking to much of her and then she was done filling my nails I asked her if she can fix my crooked nail and said no, then she finished so fast and started to get my nail color out I asked her wait the red glitter tip is still on there are you just gonna paint over that? She said rudely that that's what I wanted a fill, but I asked her is she going to take the prior color off first? She then started arguing with me saying she didn't know what I meant and that I'm not understandable and talked to a different lady in her language and the lady came over and said to me " she wants you to leave and that she was uncomfortable and then said she maybe she in bad mood" and I'm shocked because all I did was ask questions and to get a better idea of what I should do hoping to get professional help instead was asked to leave with already filed nails partially prepped wow never again will I go there so rude and embarrassing and unprofessional business and I had went there before and even recommended them but never again. Will I do that. I found a better place to go...
