Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Picayune

Me and my boyfriend go here all the time and the service has never been this bad. We got there and at first all was well. We ordered our drinks then our food , although it didn’t take to longer for our server to greet us it definitely took longer then normal. We were okay with that, we understand it was busy. We ordered our appetizer with drinks, when the server (Joey) came back to take our order my boyfriend asked he had out the appetizer in , he said no. Again I’m We were okay with that because we understood they were busy. My sons (6) food came out in no time! He ate all of his chicken, then all of his fruit and yogurt. And we still had not even received our appetizer yet. The server did not acknowledge us for that hour , asking everyone around us how their food was and so on , but couldn’t even check to see if our drinks needed a refill. We waited an hour ! No food , and still not appetizer, and no refill . My son had been done eating for about 30 before we even got our food , so I let him play on the tablet because it was taking a while . After a whole hour we received our food . Still no appetizer. The server did apologize and Tell us he’d get his manager to fix the bill . When the food came out it wasn’t horrible . Finally we get our check , the server hands it to us only to see they took $5 off. The appetizer that we never got alone was $7.99 , Are you serious !!!? We did order the 2 for 20 HOWEVER we only got that so we could get the appetizer. And we never got it !! And They still charged us for the tablet even tho we waited forever for our food, what did they expect him to do for that long. My boyfriend went and talked to the manager and he refused to do anything else and was rude ! We will not be returning and I will be contacting...

This is the worst restaurant,poor customer service and the manager Scarlett is very rude. Arrived at 6:30 Saturday evening before Father's Day the restaurant was not even busy. We had 7 people in our party. When the server goes to take our order she says we are out of baked potatoes. Really the last 3 times we have been here we have been told you are out of baked potatoes. My son ask does the broccoli come with cheese and she said no it is .50 to add cheese and he said no you didn't have what I really wanted so I shouldn't be charged for the cheese so then she says I will have to get the manager and he said ok. Instead of going straight to get the manager she stops and takes an order from a table behind us then goes and gets the manager. The manager walks up and says how can I help you and my son told her y'all didn't have baked potato like I wanted so I ask if cheese comes on the broccoli away told I would be charged extra and she said yeah unfortunately we have to charge .50 and he said well unfortunately we are leaving and she just stood there with a big grin on her face and said y'all have a goodnight. She just lost over a $100 sale over .50. What happened to customer service??? I told her I would be reporting this to the corporate office. Then she is going to sarcastically ask me Don't you work at Walmart and I told her no I don't and never have. What did that have to do with this issue if I did? My family and I will never return to Applebee's again. We left there and went to IHop and had very friendly service unlike your staff. Need to train them to be more polite to customers especially the manager. Love the casual atmosphere and attentive wait staff. The food was so good I could have stayed all day. For a very reasonable price of 22 dollars we received an appetizer and two entrees that were perfectly proportioned.

(Edit) 2/21/2024 I have eaten here many times, and was always pleased with every aspect. This visit, however, was very unpleasant. First, our table of four ordered three 8oz steak dinners and one bourbon chicken and shrimp. All three of the steaks were 6oz, and not the 8oz that we ordered. When we explained this to our waiter (Kristain), he said we were mistaken and walked away. I let that go as we wanted to enjoy our dinner. Next, he didn't check on us until three of us were finished eating, and had been without drinks for some time. While asking if we could have our drinks refilled he was taking all plates, not even asking if we had finished, leaving only the two that we had our hands on. Then, after another ten minutes or so, we finally received our refills, and the next time he came around he took the plate in front of my daughter (without asking if my daughter was done), that she had not finished. Finally, he left our ticket for 47.53 on the table. I paid with fifty in cash, and we exited, however, while pulling out of the parking space, the waiter ran out and informed us that the meal cost 66.96 and acted as though we knowingly underpaid for our meal, when we had all seen the ticket.
