Cuca's Restaurant — Restaurant in Pico Rivera

I pass this spot all the time and today just before 11am I walked in and ordered a breakfast burrito. The place looks like grandma's house; with booths to sit and eat in a calm environment. An older couple was bustling around the kitchen working, the younger woman took my order and immediately peeled a potato, cracked an egg, got the bacon ready and assembled my order right in front of me in about 5 minutes. This burrito was excellent and the large cup of DELICIOUS red salsa was a pleasant treat as I have yet to find a great homemade salsa at a restaurant. Wow! I haven't eaten like this in decades. The food is exceptional, freshness like this is difficult to come by. Everything seems to be hand made and well-seasoned without being over the top. This place is reminiscent of my grandmother's kitchen where she would prepare simple Mexican dishes that always satisfied and left us wanting more even though we couldn't possibly eat another bite. This place has been here for over 50 years my dad used to bring me here when I was little kid it's the same then and it's the same now good Homestyle Mexican American food when you order it might take a little bit do the reason why mostly everything is made fresh when you order it. I hate when I go to a restaurant and ask the waitress what's good here and she replies everything well I call BS well in this case I guess I got to take my shoe out of my mouth because everything is good at this place if you're traveling through Pico Rivera bars close to the 5 freeway stopping...
