Today a simple order of pizza, chicken and mojos was made into a very unpleasant experience due to poor management at the Pico Rivera Shakeys. We placed the phone order. When we arrived the order was incorrect. I informed them that the order was not correct, a manager was called over who did not take any responsibility and merely pointed at the receipt and said, " no your order is correct look right here" What the hell? Why is Scott Torres (if that's his real name)even a manager with that type of reaction. Absolutely no managerial skills at all. His next response was even more outrageous, he said in order to replace the incorrect order with the correct order, I would have to pay for the incorrect order in full, then pay additional charges to correct Shakeys mistake?? Needless to say I was not going to lose anymore money so I paid the full $65 and came home only to write this review. He was very smug, rude and unprofessional. When I arrived home I called to get his name, he refused to give me his name but only after I told him what it was about he said his name was Scott Torres...
Read moreWe had no plans to stop here and eat. I really needed to use a restroom while we were on our way elsewhere. We stopped and the guy at the counter was so nice. We asked where the bathroom was and he directed us. He did not yell, "for customers only!!" at me like some have done. The bathroom was well maintained. We decided, they are so nice, let's try this place. We are so happy we did.
We ordered 2 small pizzas, one with pepperoni and one with shrimp. We also ordered some of their mojo potatoes. It did not take long and our food was as ordered and hot. It was great.
Now, this is not fancy artisan pizza, if you want that, go elsewhere and pay the price for it. This is old fashioned, family style pizza that is just yummy and those mojos were the bomb.
The service was just so nice, the place was clean, parking was easy and we will be back.
It seems the guy at the counter knows to be nice to someone who really just has to use the facilities. He got a...
Read morePaid $44.49 for a medium PCM and 4 drinks. Topping for the pizza was pepperoni. We were lucky if we got 1 pepperoni on a slice, the cheese was burnt and the pizza wasn't done cooking, so when you bit into the pizza, the burnt cheese just slid off of the marinara sauce. The mojos were half the size they used to be, mostly breading, and we only got a few. The remaining mojos were so thin, they were basically chips. The decent looking mojos were basically stacked on top of the leftover crumb/chip mojos to make them seem like more. The chicken was...edible. Overall the food is overpriced for the quality and quantity you receive. This meal is worth 19.99 including the drinks. For what I paid, I could have gone to (insert your favorite build your own pizza place here) and bought 4 gourmet pizza's that actually taste good. My recommendation is save your money and skip this place. If you do decide to come here, also add whatever the price of imodium or...
