My first time. I ordered take out online which was easy. The website said it was a 20-35 min wait time. I arrived about 25 min after placing my order. There was not any parking so had to park in the thrift store’s parking lot across the street. It was confusing when walking in the door. I wasn’t sure where to go. There was a bar area in front but it wasn’t a place to sit and order a drink, it was more like a server station I think. It looked like an employee area. Had bins of silverware and napkins and such on it. A guy was there who greeted me so I figured it was ok to go down there. My food was ready, I did not have to wait longer. I ordered drunken noodles with chicken and crispy pork bellies. The pork bellies were cut nice and thick but they appeared to have been deep fried which made them pretty much inedible. The meaty parts were too hard to chew, like rocks, and the fatty parts were not cooked and gross. There was no seasoning at all on them either though they did come with a dipping sauce. I tried soaking them in the sauce but they were still just too dried out and hard. My dog loved them though! The drunken noodles were stuck together in clumps. There wasn’t any broccoli, I’m not sure if the chicken was actually meat, some pieces were but some others had the texture of the bits of cooked blood from the bottom of a pan. Huge turn off! I couldn’t keep eating it. I liked the fennel but really got none of the Thai flavors I was expecting. It was very bland. I was super hopeful which is probably why I was so incredibly...
Read moreWe have been hearing nothing but great things about this restaurant and were so excited to check it out. We made the trip yesterday, and that was the first and the last time I will be going here. We first arrived and stood at the hostess counter for about 5 minutes to finally be told it was seat yourself. We were given our waters and our menus and our order was taken in a timely manner, but then all we did was wait. We ordered 4 separate appetizers - it took 20 minutes to get one appetizer sent out, another 20 minutes pass and our second appetizer was brought out, another 20 minutes pass and the remaining 2 appetizers and our entrees came out. We ordered the drunken noodles which were extremely burnt and disgusting along with the beef noodle soup which in the description says “Thai version of pho”, this tastes and looks nothing like pho. After we let the waitress know we were unhappy with our food she did not apologize, she took the plate and sent the cook out to confront us. We explained why we were dissatisfied, she deducted the drunken noodles and offered to make us a new plate, but we did not want to wait. There is a lot of room for improvement with this place, but I am so far extremely disappointed and will not be going back. Also, one of the waitresses was very rude and continued to mention to her coworker that she could not help her as she “had to be to Denny’s at 10AM” the next day. The poor young girl working on her own was flustered and...
Read moreIm seriously concerned at the moment that we may become ill because of the rotten smelling pineapple curry and the same smelling pinneapple chunks that were in the other food we ate. Something was seriously wrong as it smelled like dirty feet...Didnt realize it at first so we all started to eat it..ugh. The pork belly was tough. The chicken dish we had was un memorable and had only a tiny amount of chicken over a bed of rice. The sesame noodles were fair. Was exicted to try this place but now very disappointed. Its more expensive than others. The to go portions were smaller than what's pictured in the other reviews here, and my family overall was unimpressed (We are food people and have tried many ethnic restaurants). We all agreed that the jalapeño wontons and crispy rolls were good but thats not enough to come here again. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. That part was very inviting but again... not enough to come back. I ordered for pickup.. was told 15 to 20min at 6:07pm... I did not recieve my food until 7:10. Either hit and hard miss or the reviewers dont really know what good food is. Will be going to Lotus Thai across the street instead. They are always consistent and excellent. Update: We did not get sick but threw the weird smelling pinneapple food...
