Here is the quick summary for the review scanners if you want genuine polish food this is the place to go.

For the people who like the details here is the story. You know an ethnic place is going to be good when it's ran by women who are speaking the language when you walk in.

The service was excellent, it felt like you were being served by a family member. They serve everything is packages and you pay at the register so you can drop in for take out or take advantage of the tables they have and eat there but either way when your ready to go it's a get up and go type of thing.

In regards to beverages they have a standing fridge full of coke products in plastic bottles for you to select from.

They have many different platters for you to select from or if you like you can order individual items à la carte. They also have deserts which we took advantage of and they are very generous when it comes to portion sizes.

My family had everything the offered to try them all and all were excellent however you are likely reading this because you saw Pierogie in the name of this place and I am pleased to say no matter which type of pierogi you get you are going to be very pleased. The pierogi's were soft and delicate and the filling was exquisite in taste and texture.

Final bonus is they have everything available frozen if you would like to take some for home and warm up on your schedule. Handy for folks who drove some distance to try this place and want to have some later when it's...

If you want to get a food borne illness go here!!!! Bought frozen pierogies to Make later. Brought home and boiled them and the contents came out of almost all of them.

Then pan fried them. Ate them and got violently ill almost immediately!!! Immediately!!!

Called restaurant and spoke to owner- she was a complete and utter disgrace for a human being. No empathy no apology no sympathy!!! Completely indecent! Refused to acknowledge her wrongdoing and took 0 responsibility for making terrible pierogies in a very uncleanly kitchen and making us all very sick! She was terribly rude and insulting on the phone!

I will be contacting the health department regarding this and will not stop until she has to take some responsibility! Food prep can easily be compromised by bacteria and clearly this place doesn’t understand that!

She tried to tell me on the phone you can’t get sick from pierogies! Not true! You can be given illness and sickness from anything at type of food and / or drink! And she and her business are experts and doing...

As someone who makes, from what everyone tells me, very good pierogies I can say these are just okay. It mostly comes down to the dough. The dough to filling ratio is very important, these had too much dough. And the dough was too doughy. What I mean is, the dough tastes like plain flour and water dough. It needs flavor. Mine has sour cream as one of my special ingredients which adds flavor. The filling was also a bit bland. I would say traditionally, but potatoe and cheese pierogies are not traditional in the Dutch land, does not have added seasoning but tastes better when it does.

Overall? When compared to store bought pierogies or the limited selection of homemade pierogies in the Pittsburgh area,...

As a Pittsburgher who knows their pierogies, I can confidently say Forgotten Taste Pierogies in Wexford is one of the best local spots to grab a dozen (or two)! With over 20 companies and countless churches making pierogies in the area, it can be hard to stand out, but Forgotten Taste does just that. Their pepperoni and cheese pierogies are a must-try – seriously delicious! The owner is incredibly friendly and has such a warm personality that makes you feel right at home. If you’re in the area and craving authentic, homemade pierogies, this is the place to go. Always a pleasure to support a small business with great food and even better service. Highly recommend!

Delicious! I haven’t had homemade pierogis in a few years and have been wanting to try these for some time. I got two flavors of frozen pierogis and cheese and potato pierogis hot with butter and onion to try immediately. These did not disappoint. They were nice and filled, served with butter and onions making them extra delightful. Service was quick! There were so many flavors to choose from and I looked at their website ahead of time so I knew which ones I wanted to try first. I’ll be back to try other flavors for sure! I can see these being something my children will thoroughly enjoy.
