Stopped at this spot after a long day of baseball. Had never been as we are not from the area. The atmosphere was just what we needed. We sat in the outdoor space, our party of 9 was accommodated quicker than we expected given it was a Saturday night and the place was packed. After maybe a 10min wait, they pulled some tables together for the adults and our boys sat at another table close by. There was a small band playing pleasant music, really set the tone. There is indoor seating as well, with large garage door like openings. Wasn't sure what to order as the menu is impressive, lots of options. We went with the meatball pizza, a build your own pizza with bacon and my son also tried the wedding soup. WOW! I was blown away with our meatball pizza. It was delicious. Dollips of ricotta, and meatballs on a perfectly cooked crust. YUM! The rest of our party had chicken pesto pizza and good old pepperoni, the little kind. So good! The sauce had great flavor and the best part? No heartburn!! My son enjoyed the bacon pizza and said the soup had a really good flavor. We saw some salads and wings at nearby tables, looked very good as well. Now here's where I was really impressed, you want to talk customer service?? From the time we stepped foot inside to well after we left, they nailed it. My son left his ball cap on his chair when we left. Of course we figured this out after we drove over an hour home and the shop closed for the night. I called, left a message. We had to play ball in that area the next day, but weren't hopeful since the shop is closed on Sunday. Not long after calling, I got a text from Jason, he found the hat and took it in. I texted back Sunday morning and asked if anyone would be at the shop doing prep work since our tournament continued in Tarentum. He replied no, as they were closed. THEN he went out of his way to offer to go to the closed shop after church, grab the hat, and place it outside so we could grab it on the way home. He let us know when the cap was outside, then he checked up later in the day to make sure we got the hat. WHO DOES THIS? Someone that doesn't have to but has integrity, is a great person, and cares about his customers. If they care this much about their customers when the shop is closed, you understand how awesome the service is when they are open. So get going, have some great food, fresh air...
Read moreWe ordered online ao i hate 2 not give 5 stars for everything...but we ordered a pizza with sweet sauce online. Honestly first impression it was phenomenal especially because i live about hr from cranberry n about an hr from pittsburgh so i have limited pizza shops to experience. So it is definitely really good if u want something different from the chains that r easily accessible everywhere. I will say it was def expensive for the size of the pizza i think husband said it was over $25 for an 8 cut. Half pep/half sausage. And first piece i thought it was cooked well and was tasty will say we enjoyed the cupped pepperoni very much. But the first pepperoni slice i had the slice was normal thickness and crust was pretty good. But yet i will say i wasnt really impressed by their dough recipe on 1st piece. My second slice was sausage i was also excited they had crumbled ground sausage as the topping...(wasnt as impressed by the sausage as i was the pepperoni i will say sausage really wasnt very flavorful. ) so the piece i got from the box no matter which piece i tried to grab with sausage was to thin and flimsy or wasnt cooked completely o thought...cuz it was soft and and flipped in half basically when u picked it up when i took a bite i realized it was majorly not rolled out or tossed out evenly so one half was super thin too thin n other side was normal. So i wasnt impressed with second piece and then the crust on this piece was burnt pretty bad so being cooked in fire it wasnt very good. So again wasnt big on crust. But the sauce and pepperoni was phenomenal. So i would.def order again hopefully find some coupons or something but would love to eat the sauce again that was the major win for me if u like smooth sweet pizza sauce u will enjoy!! I will say this trip was like. 7 out of 10. Which isnt terrible for first try n was a takeout online order prob better eating in im sure...or at least...
Read moreWe were traveling in Pittsburgh from Kansas City for a wedding and decided to stop in on a Friday evening with some extended family. Obviously being a prime restaurant night the place was busy. The music and ambience were great walking in and the staff was very welcoming. We ordered our food at the counter, and we were told it would be about 25-30 minutes before it would get out to us due to the amount of people dining in. We had no problems with that as it gave our party time to sit down and have a great conversation before dinner. The food was actually ready in just under 20 minutes and it was well worth the wait. The pizza and kids meals were delicious, the portions were large, and everyone in our party enjoyed everything we ordered. At the end of the meal we were greeted by what I would assume was either management or the owner coming by to check on our experience. It wasn’t the cheesy “Was everything ok?” and move on type of visit. He brought some Andes mints by the table and genuinely wanted to know how that experience was and if there was anything that could have been done better. It was really refreshing to know that someone cares that much to ask those types of questions. Next time we are in the Pittsburgh area we will definitely stop in again. I would highly recommend you do as well in hopes you get the same type of amazing...
