Sweet Divas Cakery — Restaurant in Pinellas Park

My husband called this bakery a few months before our wedding to order our wedding cake, cupcakes, cookies, and brownies. We only wanted a top tier. A few photos were sent to us to chose from, so we could get an idea on what we wanted. We had sent her the picture we liked best and said we would like “this” with our wedding colors instead of the colors presented. After that a few conversations were had before the big day to make sure we were getting what we wanted. The day of the wedding we get to the reception and see the cake and other deserts. It was no where near what we wanted. It was a plain white top tier cake with yellow and blue air brushed colors at the bottom, which of course caused them to bleed into each other leaving a green color. My colors were blue and yellow only. There was absolutely nothing on the cake. We sent a picture with shells and other things on it, but there was nothing on our cake. When we discussed this with the bakery, they told us that they were told not to put anything on the cake. When we told them that was not true, we just said no flowers (we still wanted the shells and everything else that was on the cake). I guess this did not cross their minds and thought that no flowers meant to not put anything. However, if it was a miscommunication on our part, I still do not think I should have been charged $450 for a plain white top tier cake and some cookies and brownies. We were told we would not be receiving any refund even though we were 1000% unhappy with what we got. I added pictures for reference, but does that look like $450 worth of deserts? If so, I will be happily be going to Walmart for all future events. Not...

Christy was the woman we worked with, and she was very helpful and very responsive during our communication. We did all of our planning from Indianapolis, so communication was key for us. We could not have been happier to work with her!

We wanted to have a few different types of cake available for our guests so we decide to go with the cupcake option. We had three different flavors. I had at least one of each and they were each beyond amazing. They were all beautiful and garnished in their own way. We had the tres leches, French vanilla, and red velvet. We also wanted our cutting cake to be fresh lemon (along with a duplicate top tier fresh lemon cake that was on display but was to be saved for our 1-year anniversary). She brought our vision to life in a stunning display.

Christy ensured timely delivery and helped us package the top tier cake for us to freeze for next year. Her expertise and execution were both impeccable

So many people during the reception (and more people even once we got back home from the honeymoon) told us how great the cupcakes were. We provided the cake topper, and the florist assisted a little with the surrounding décor, but Christy made certain the final product was gorgeous!

The desserts were a huge hit at our wedding! We had a small wedding cake for me and my husband, and a larger cake for the guests. We also ordered chocolate covered pretzels, cake shooters (chocolate and caramel), cheese cake (individual sizes), chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, and cannoli. Everyone said that anything they tried was delicious! I was only able to try the cake, but I can honestly say that the cake from this bakery was the best cake I have ever had in Florida. It is even more delicious than cakes from Publix. The frosting is rich, and the cake is moist. The flavors are perfect- not too strong, and they don't taste like fake flavoring.

Christine was delightful, and she really did an excellent job. We talked about what we wanted for our wedding cake at our "design session"/cake tasting, and she delivered!

And unlike the other review I saw, I thought that the price was actually reasonable. If you want mediocre quality for cheap, go to big chain stores or grocery stores.
