If I could give this store a 0 I would or a negative. My daughter bought a diamond painting for me for my bday. She's 16 so paid with cash and didn't keep a receipt..because she's 16. This painting is available ONLY AT MICHAELS. the painting is smudged so I can't see the letters to match the colors to it. I came in for a simple EXCHANGE for one where I can SEE THE LETTERS as that's the entire objective and nope ! Can't help. No receipt can't help. Because clearly everyone is a thief and steals. Looking at my account history, they would see that I spend so much money here it's ridiculous..because I love art. But make one tiny mistake and no help for you! So silly. It's a damaged item that gets sent back and paid out to your store so there's no reason you can't simply swap the canvas. So simple. To help a customer that spends so much money there. I hope that one day, this happens to you people that refuse to help. And you lose your hard earned money that you spent on something. And noone helps you so you feel the frustration. Such a very simple thing to do that turned into a 1 hour phone call, a manager telling me I'm a thief and customers staring at you. We don't live in the 90s where you need receipts for everything anymore. Half the time they aren't even offered anymore!!! Will never ever ever spend a single penny at any Michael's location ever...
Read moreI like Michael's. While I shop periodically in store for a variety of things 99% of the time I am shopping for yarn. I don't know if it's only in Florida or nationwide, but Michael's has decreased their offering of yarn selections greatly in their stores. While I still shop online with them for yarn from time to time when they have good sales there is no substitute for being able to see and touch the yarn in store. I am very disappointed they have decided to decrease their offerings in store. I hope they choose add back the isles they slowly took. Especially in areas that move higher volumes as the shelves are not restocked often enough. I was in last night with my best friend and we found a new yarn we had not seen before, and couldn't quit thinking about. We didn't purchase it, but we are coming back today for it! Lol. I'm sure I've seen it online many many times, but I did not take any notice. Some products, things like yarn are worth having in store because the consumer really needs to be able to see it up close and personal. It's such a personal item that being able to touch it makes the consumer more apt to walk out with...
Read moreI placed an online order. Canged my mind about doing the project and tried to cancel the order online. Michaels could not cancel the order because they had already begun processing it..... which is good news because their processing of the order was very fast. they sent me a text telling me they had already processed the order and I would have to return it at this store I had chosen to pick it up at. The package arrived early which is good. However when I was in the store trying to return the unopened package, the staff was unable to locate the appropriate SKU numbers to make the return. Then they told me that I would have to return it back to Michaels online by getting a return merchandise label from them online. I showed this. The text I had received telling me to return it in the store. After getting three different staff members involved and finally the manager said she could not help me.... one of the regular employees figured out how to locate the SKU number and was able to make the return. The whole process took at least a half an hour...
