Carolina Scoops — Restaurant in Pineville

There are times in your life when you’re craving good local and fresh icecream. On one such evening, after an early dinner, we went to Carolina Scoops and were pleasantly surprised.

We got the double scoops of banana pudding, butter pecan and vanilla in waffle cones. The banana pudding was absolutely divine, and I highly recommend it. The notes of banana mixed with pudding made for a wonderful combination. We enjoyed the butter pecan and vanilla as well. The free rainbow sprinkles made for a great topping too!

Their menu is quite extensive replete with different flavours of ice-creams in various sizes along with milkshakes. And they serve it all with wide smiles on their faces. The sitting area inside is decently sized to accommodate busy times. The decor inside is just the right amount of playful to go with the ice-creams and milkshakes.

It’s located in downtown Pineville right across the parking lot adjoining the rail tracks. There’s a lot of free parking.

We just might’ve found our favourite icecream spot. We will be back here soon to try other flavours...

Adorable little spot for a quick treat. The atmosphere is cute colorful and fun, just what people need when grabbing an ice cream pick me up.

We enjoyed an ice cream taco with banana pudding ice cream and Dulce de Leche cheesecake ice cream and an Oreo queens milkshake today. The milkshake was for my son. It was over the top huge and had an amazing presentation. He wasn’t sure if he could eat the whole thing but he did! He reported it was delicious. I really really loved the banana pudding ice cream flavor. It even has nilla wafers in it.

We had outstanding service by John. He was super attentive kind and personable. He gets customer service and does this shop proud.

I’m so glad local well run ice cream shops are popular and thriving. This is one thing that cannot be imported or ecommerced. Going out for ice cream is something that lifts my spirits and helps me celebrate. Thanks Carolina Scoops for the cherry on...

I went on Mother’s Day around 4 with my family and the female brunette shift lead or manager was very nasty and condescending. I told her I didn’t like my flavor ice cream and she looked directly at the part of it that I had tasted and said “I lose money on that but…”. She then offered a different flavor and although I told them to go ahead and make the full size of the new flavor I chose as to not be any more trouble she insisted on a sample and under her breath as she was walking away said “yeah because that’s why we give samples…. to make sure you like it”. Due to her terrible attitude and overall customer service I placed my whole cone in the trash and asked for my money back. I’d also like to mention how tyrannical she was being to her staff. She completely ruined the experience for me. She needs training and should not be the main point of contact for customers...
