From the looks, you can immediately tell it's an old Waffle House from the outside. Once you walk in, definitely an old Waffle House. However, the vibe is totally unique. Nova is a fitting name. The menu is "nerdy" and the taste is explosive.
We tried their Avocado Coffee. Yes. Avocado Coffee. Very inventive, especially for Pineville.
There are so many amazing menu items that's creatively named (Sorry I was so caught up and being super early. I forgot to take pics except for the one site pic after the rush has cleared before another rush of people about to walk in as we were walking out). There were four of us and every plate was uniquely named and scrumptious.
We aren't from here, so we are definitely surprised to experience this "big city" experience in a small town.
Staff and service were amazing. The owner even came by to talk to us.
Place might remind us of old Waffle House but it smells clean and looks clean. It's CLEAN.
If you live within 30 mins of driving...Or even an hour.... Definitely worth a drive to come here to support great local small business owners and expect to be blown away with the creativity and...
Read moreWe were there Dec 27 2024. They were very busy. Not enough workers and the service was awful. The food was good but waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for some eggs and bacon and pancakes. The waiter was a man and took at least 5 to 10 minutes to even get acknowledged we were there. He came and took our drink orders and then was another 10 minutes before returning and taking our food order. He never came back during the hour and 15 minutes to check on us. The bus boy is the only one that came to refill our drinks. Then there were people who came in after us and got there food before us. The waitress that waited on the table next to is offered them a 25 percent discount because of the long wait. They didn't offer us a discount after waiting an hour and 15 minutes for our food.. We asked a worker where was our food and he said it's coming out now. It was another 10 minutes before we got our food..It was a big hot mess and not worth the wait Then the bill was over 40.00 for some eggs bacon and pancakes....
Read moreI've been three times. I had the Burstin' Biscuit, the Get Oriented, and the Altenberger.
I think this restaurant does breakfast very well, but their burgers weren't much to write home about.
The biscuits were great: fluffy and delicious and the gravy was well seasoned. The Get Oriented was unique and tasted pretty good. The sauce on the pork belly was very spicy, I'm just a wimp so I didn't like it that much.
The burger patty was smaller than expected and overcooked in my opinion. It was crisipier than the bacon which seems a crime to do on wagyu beef. The only saving grace was the sausage and bacon on it giving me more protein.
This restaurant is very good for breakfast and I still plan on going more...
