Something has to be special for me to go to a restaurant during a pandemic. This was the third chinese restaurant I've tried in the Pinole area. My go to dish is Singapore noodles. A simple dish, delightful when done right. Not so nice when done wrong or americanized. Rice noodles added to a protein usually meat with vegetables. A curry spice is added. I like a mild spicy curry. I want to taste my food not just a finery hot chili. Although called Singapore noodles, the dish originally is from Hong Kong. China delight comes as close to what I'd expect to eat in Hong Kong or Singapore. Because I'm immune compromised I have been getting my food to go. The wait staff has been very accommodating to bring my order out to my car, everytime. I have observed they are always busy so with quite a few restaurants in Pinole others must share my satisfaction with China Delight. I haven't tried other items except for their long beans with garlic, I have perused the menu and it's very ambitious with other very Chinese items not usually found in restaurants trying to adapt their menu to just American palates. My wife has tried other dishes and I've heard no disparaging remarks. That's a very high bench mark as she has become used to my bringing her only to very traditional Chinese restaurants. I will ask about her choices and add photos the next time we go there. I found generous portions in all our orders. After living in Pinole for 2 years and trying a half dozen other chinese restaurants in this area, this is my go to Chinese...

I ordered Kung Pao chicken for basically $12. For that price I expected a good portion of the plate and rice - like every other restaurant does when you order an entree. Well, no rice. I called to make sure this wasn’t a mistake and it’s not. They just don’t provide rice like every other Chinese restaurant does.
I also ordered the egg drop soup - which is a good portion and the taste was good so if you’re a soup lover, definitely try this soup out.
Also I asked for chili OIL and all I got was sriracha sauce. Not the same thing.
Taste is okay, but I’m not ordering from here again. Can get more bang for my buck...
Read moreI'd give zero stars if possible...Ordered a whole Peking duck and a duck wonton soup. They took a whole duck, chopped it up. They put about a quarter of it in the soup and put the rest in a container and sold it to me as a whole duck. They put the BEST parts in the soup, sliced the rest really thin and spread it around in the container to make it appear to be a whole duck. I felt so ripped off that they will never get another DIME from me. Avoid "like the plague" if you enjoy getting your money's worth in...
