We walked into this small town diner as we stopped for lunch on our road trip to South Dakota and everyone (locals eating at diner) stared us down which humored us. We were greeted by restaurant staff immediately upon sitting down with our drink orders being taken right away and our food orders being taken shortly after that. Our server recommended a dish that I asked about, the Sicilian Melt, and she was spot on with her recommendation. Never seen such a sandwich anywhere else which is why it stood out to me and they completely knock it out of the park. Italian cured meats with cheese on toasted bread with cold marinara dipping sauce -- it was absolutely delicious. I'd love to eat here again when driving from Minnesota to South Dakota.

Stopped in as we were traveling through per the reviews on Google Maps. We are glad we did. Marty was fantastic, very kind, helpful, even in the midst of the lunch rush! She was calm, smiling, and friendly. The food was great and the restaurant was nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean as well. Again, all in the midst of the lunch rush. The restaurant was full with a steady flow of business. The staff worked well together through it all. We will stop again when we are in the area.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast and were met with friendly staff that told us to sit where we'd like and they'd be right with us. Autumn came by and took our drink orders and was back quickly to take our food order. The food was excellent, people were friendly and the midwest hospitality feeling was felt.

Dining here is great. However if you are just dropping in for a coffee or latte, expect confusing signage and rude staff. Particularly if just passing through.

Though "coffee house" is still clearly painted on the door don't try to put in any basic coffee shop like drink order as the (owner? manager?) on duty will make snide remarks. Even though there are no signs showing the drive through as closed, expect more snide remarks to the unwitting traveler who drives through it. Finally, don't expect to ask basic coffee questions, like how many ounces are in a cup size, whether they have decaf, etc... Unless you want yet more snide remarks.

In general it feels like someone bought the old cafe + coffee house and while they are doing great at the cafe part, they clearly do not want to run the coffee house aspect.

That would be all well and good but for some reason the owner and management can't be bothered to make this clear to...

This was a classic moment of extreme shock upon getting the bill. I ordered breakfast for me and my friend who was at home, so that was a to-go order. The orders were the same. My server calmly asked "white, wheat, or English Muffin...", asked what meat, asked if I wanted hashbrowns. At no point in time was I told that each one of these things was going to have a charge and that the charge was going to be significant. I ate my breakfast and went to the counter to pay and pick up my friend's breakfast and the bill was over $41. I ordered a Pepsi and a mocha as the two drinks. All the rest of that charge was for things that my server never told me would cost extra. The food was decent but I have never paid this much for a diner breakfast in my entire life, and I'm never going back. If you have a lot of money and don't mind being nickel and dimed for every single thing on your plate, this isn't a bad...
