Romano Pizza Steaks & Subs — Restaurant in Piscataway Township

Friendly staff but mediocre food on their best days. The pizza is not good. The sauce is very bland, oily cheap cheese and the dough is flavorless. On more than one occasion the pizza was undercooked and soggy. Use better ingredients and check your oven temperature maybe??

We used to go here consistently, and continued to support the place for years after it changed over. But now after too many disappointing pizzas we drive past on the way to better pizza places. I ordered just a plain pizza this past week and my son opened the box and asked where did you get this garbage? When I told him where, he responded 'What did I do wrong to deserve this?' Kind of funny in the moment, but not so funny when he picked up his phone and ordered Chinese instead.

If you like Italian food stay away. It's a shame. When we moved here 10 years ago this place was great. Since then they've changed hands a number of times and the quality is the lowest of the low. We never go because the pizza is the worst, like soup, but we wanted something fast and they're down the street so we ordered two sandwiches. Meatballs are the cheapest, smallest you can find and there were about three in a large sandwich. We ordered hot peppers and the guy even confirmed it with me at the end of the phone call. Still got regular peppers. When I went back they offered me the smallest cup of jalapenos because they did not have any Italian hot peppers. I'll never go back. The food was terrible, as usual. After Thanksgiving my family spent over 150 for 4 LG pizza 1 LG Stromboli 36 wings they delivered the incorrect order told us they would make it right but we had to come pick up the replacement order we drove 20 moles for them to sat they'll give us pepperoni we can go put on the pizza and pop in the microwave the insult cut through my very being they were rude and totally disrespectful we have patronized this place for over 20 years and to be disregarded spoken to in the manner we were our family will never patronize this place again they should be ashamed no sauce on the chicken over cooked I hope they never prosper again they should close the location sad...
