We would order from here often because Attlilio’s has some of the better pizza in the Pitman area. Whenever we would call to pick up it would always take anywhere from 15-20 mins longer than promised - which at the time sure was annoying but it’s close by so we didn’t complain. I recently placed an online order to pick up an hour later. (Ordered two cheesesteak subs and 1 large pizza). When I got there, they only had the two subs ready. I asked the young girl where the pizza was and when she checked she said they didn’t see it on the ticket originally. The cook says it will take 4-5 mins (aka 20 mins later). As I patiently wait, a gentleman next to me had ordered two slices to go, paid for it, and they completely forgot his order all while two people are pouring 2 shots of Brandy behind the prep counter visible to customers. At this rate, I’m not one to judge but it didn’t look good considering you forgot my pizza and another guys slices….
When I was about to leave and got my pizza, I asked if there was a manager/owner on site and the cook said he wasn’t there today. I didn’t believe him and then called. The young girl said he would give me a call back once he got back from a delivery. When I spoke to the manager, he told me that my pizza had been switched with a DoorDash order and that mine was coming (it clearly wasn’t) and he kept rudely interrupting me with excuses. After this experience, I did inform him that I would not be giving them my business any longer and was disgusted with...
Read moreWe went to Attilio's after another local pizzeria had a 45 minute wait. Against our better judgement, we decided to try it although when we walked in there was a girl riding a scooter through the store, a kid was standing on a table plugging his phone into the ceiling socket, each table had food left on it, trash was on the ground, and the counter staff told us we couldn't order dinner "because it's too busy right now."
I say all of this, and I am not kidding, while there were only five other people in the pizzeria and they were already eating their food. We couldn't believe that they limited the menu because it was "too busy." I've never once heard of this happening at any location - let alone one that had a full counter staff standing around on their phones, and the cooks standing in the back talking. It was absolutely ridiculous. But okay, you're too busy to serve anything other than salads and pizza.
So, after cleaning our own table because they were "too busy" to do it themselves, we ordered two personal pizzas - one a margherita and the other a sausage. Unsurprisingly, it was horrible. We ate one slice from each pizza and threw out the rest.
I will never go back to this place and I can't understand why anyone on earth would want to. We later went to the local burrito place and had great food with...
Read moreAfter going back and visiting my old hometown I was desperate for a mustard pie which no one had heard of as of yet down here. I went and ask Salvatore who not only knew of them but 5 different ways to make them. He graciously (on the spot!!) called my favorite old pizza shop and said “I happen to have a broken half of gluten free crust, if you want to wait I’ll try and make one for you” (which was amazing on all counts plus I’m gluten free and it’s so hard to find good GF pizza). Needless to say Salvatore nailed it on the first shot!!!!
He didn’t charge me because it was a test and was explaining how we could adjust it more to my liking if need be. I surprised my mom with it this morning and she was over the moon thrilled as were the two very lucky coworkers she shared a bit with.
The customer service, his authenticity and knowledge, everything was amazing. 5,000 gold star rating!!!! Now we have our mustard pie for Friday nights and English mysteries again!! He was such a joy and so passionate about his ingredients only using the best and even telling me how to order this if I want it as a dipping sauce...
