Cream puffs to write home about. The Jalepeno and C&C steal the show, but the base has enough pop in flavor to ensure I make another trip back. And a great price, too. A "Chloe's dozen" for $11 put each puff at less than a dollar.

Though, one of the workers insisted that margarine and butter are the same thing, which is a fairly wild thing for a pastry chef to say. I'm all for creating inclusive items for folks who can't or choose not to consume certain products like butter, but to say butter and margarine are the same is sin.

It was about the vegan crisp, and I love that you create items that allow inclusivity for the vegan community; however, you can absolutely taste the difference between margarine and butter in recipes. Chloe’s did a fabulous job on my mother’s birthday cake for her 69th. They took the order on short notice after I struck out with another bakery in town that was not taking orders. My family was impressed! 5 stars for decoration, some of the best I’ve seen (props to the cake decorator). 5 stars for flavor. It was Vanilla cake with a strawberry filing. The crumb was dense and flavorful. 4 stars for the moisture. I like my cakes a little more moist but this was by no means dry. Crumb was dense so if you like a full flavor cake this is your go to. The icing was fantastic, 5 stars. I have 2 lactose allergies in my family so the vegan icing was amazing. Not too sweet and delicious. Way better than the overly sweet buttercream all too many bakeries use. Highly recommend Chloe’s for cakes. My Dad said “it looks like a wedding cake”. I went in personally to inquire about a cake being made for an upcoming event. The women informed me that she was not sure they could make that flavor and what the cost would be but they would get right back to me. After 5 days I did not hear back so I followed up. The person who answered the phone found the post it note with my information, apologize and informed me they would get back to me. Again a few days went by and I never heard back. Unfortunately, I had to call today and informed them they didn't have to get back to me because I was no longer interested because the lack of communications. No apologies, their response was okay. I wanted to give a local bakery the business and I do like their baked goods but I had to move on to make sure I got this cake ordered somewhere else before the date...
