Brooklyn Bagel is so good. Service is pretty nice. The menu features a variety of breakfast and lunch options, of course featuring delicious New York style bagels. Ingredients are fresh and high quality. When I stopped by on a Saturday morning I tried the Avocado Bagel -which was very good- and the tasty BLTA Bagel. We also shared the spicy fried potatoes that bring the heat with a chili crunch. I would definitely visit here again. My only complaint was the limited seating, which I understand is unavoidable with the space provided. However, there should be a designated waiting area for customers who are just picking up a to-go order. Many were occupying seating, some even tables fit for four. My party of three who placed an in-house order struggled to squeeze into a nook to eat our meal. Staff should be more proactive and direct to-go customers to wait, standing off to the side, not lounging in seats other paying customers who wish to dine in...
Read moreGreat location. It was close to noon. They were out of bagels aside from 2 flavors when I ordered yet someone was able to get a flavor they didn't have after me. The kitchen has 2 sides that apparently don't connect. The cook keep coming out shaking his head very irritated and also when he had to walk back and forth. The owner was there and appeared to just be getting in the way although he was trying to help. The person that took our order didn't smile and seemed bothered to be there. Their were a lot of people standing around waiting to order and to get their order and takes are very tight, so you couldn't walk through to get to the bathroom. The matcha was good. The bagel itself was mid. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I just don't understand why people work in customer service if they don't want to work...
Read moreDecor was beautiful. Staff was friendly. I was hoping to some fresh NY bagel type eats but sadly our bagels were dry, bland, and uneventful. Prices weren’t listed for anything which is probably for the best because at over thirty bucks for two bagels, a tea and a coffee we would have gone out to eat. I was hoping this would be on par with a place like Pigeon Bagel and much closer to where we live on the north side but sadly I’ve had better bagels at Bruggers. I know having worked in NYC my bagel standards are high but these really missed the mark- especially at the price. The bacon on my bagel sandwich was more like beef jerky…. The best thing we had was the iced lemongrass and ginger tea. Wish I loved it but...
