Where to even start with this place? How about the wait staff. My family and I went here for dinner and was greeted by a friendly older gentleman (the only reason this place even deserves a star). Once we took our seats our waitress seemed upset by the fact that we wanted food. She was poor tempered the whole time, and she wasn't even close to the worst part. We ordered fried pickles and jalapenos for an appetizer. They came after the rest of our meal and everything was brought out one at a time, rather than everything being brought out at once. The breading on the fried appetizers was just normal breading so no complaints there, but the vegetables inside were just horrible. I ordered the po boy which was basically frozen fried shrimp that was placed on stale bread. My brother ordered their Caribbean jerk "dry rub" chicken wings. As you can see by the pictures they look like tyson nuggets that had Italian season poured on them after they had been placed in the basket. And I'm not kidding that the "dry rub" was literally Italian seasoning with some sort of spicy mix added in. The bbq wings had the exact same thing, but instead of seasoning it was just sauce poured over them. The beer was flat and tasteless as well. Overall I cannot even begin to recommend this place to anyone.

Busy, sports, food. As busy as it gets, the folks here are still able to maintain that neighborhood pub vibe where everyone can feel welcome and like they always have room for one more. The wings are crispy, even the ones with wet sauce. šŸ˜‹ draft beers come in the taller glasses, 20oz? Enjoy it on a busy night, but I also encourage you to swing by again on a quiet evening and just take it for what it is, a relaxing place to chill out and unwind a little. Folks are really laid back in this bar, I've never seen anyone super wound up or acting a fool. They just don't abide it. Tater tots basket is humongous - fit for the whole team. Grab a basket full and chill out with your crew. Good times!

Went to the wpt for the night for some good drinks. They had a pitcher of bud light for 7.50 as well as .50 boneless wings. We ordered 10 wings. 5 buffalo and 5 voodoo. The voodoo was still cold in the midldle and so was the buffalo so we sent them back to be cooked thouroughly. Im pretty sure they just put them in the mocrowave. Which whatever i suppose. We ate those and then asked to sample the kitchen sink sauce. It was ok. The voodoo sauce which is supposed to be the hottest sauce they have wasnt that hot to me Even though hubby liked it. Id go again but i will make sure my food is hot or im walking out the door.

Unprofessional and Embarrassing Experience at William Penn Tavern

I had an incredibly disappointing and embarrassing experience at William Penn Tavern. Upon arriving to watch the game, I ordered a Michelob Ultra and handed my credit card to the bartender, requesting to keep the tab open. To my surprise, he refused and insisted on closing me out after every order.

I mentioned that this had never happened to me before and expressed my frustration, even saying that if this was the policy, I might leave. In response, the bartender loudly and rudely said, ā€œIf you like it, you stay. If you don’t like it, you leave and take your business somewhere else,ā€ in front of other customers. Feeling humiliated, I walked away to finish my drink at the bar.

A kind staff member later approached me and offered to move me to the seating area, where she would serve me instead. However, when she tried to help, the same bartender intervened and told her I would not be served and needed to leave. This was the most unprofessional and embarrassing experience I have ever had at any establishment.

I hope management addresses this issue to ensure no other customer feels as disrespected and humiliated as I did. William Penn Seven should prioritize professionalism and courtesy toward...

I have been coming here for years on Wednesdays for wing night and always had a good experience ! my visit yesterday was not so welcoming .. me and a group of friends arrived at about 8 oclock pm and it was pretty packed in there , we waited for a group to get up from a table so we could sit .. the other group that was also sitting in this area began moving their chairs down telling us that we could not sit there .. a waitress came and cleaned off the table gave us menus and asked us what we wanted to drink not stating there was an issue with where we sat . about a minute after she left to get our drinks we were approached by a manager who was had no intention on actually hearing us out on whatever was going on and rudely and disrespectfully told us to get out making a scene in front of the other customers . I find this very insulting and unwelcoming paying returning customers should not be treated like this if there was that big of an issue with where we sat we could have been approached differently and we happily would have waited for a bigger seating area to be available . I would just like to let the manager of this business know we are very upset about how we were treated by...
