Coop de Ville was an awesome place to visit, and a highlight of my Pittsburgh stay! I personally loved the food and the retro arcade here was sick! There is a token machine you can use as well, they also have some classic arcade games, like guitar hero!

Food: I ate here 3 times, and this was my experience with the food.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich: Although this sandwich is good, the sauce is INSANELY spicy and it will cost you any semblance of stomach stability. This sandwich definitely messed up my stomach HARD. That being said, the sandwich was delicious but I did find that the slaw was almost too sweet and took away from the rest of the sandwich, but that's definitely a preference oriented opinion as well.

Classic Chicken Sandwich: Delicious. The chicken was juicy and crispy, all parts of the sandwich complemented itself very well and it all was very satisfying and enjoyable. You can also add on cheese (which I did) and it was a great addition!

Pimento Mac: Possibly one of the best Mac and Cheeses I have ever eaten. This Mac and cheese had it all; creamy, savory, a bit of spice...... It was AMAZING. In my opinion this is the optimal side to get with your food if you are only getting one.

Garlic Parmesean Wings: Delicious and messy (as all wings should be!) the wings were very tasty but definitely not the best item on their menu. The chicken was good on this dish but definitely not as standout as the other items I purchased with chicken in it.

Biscuits: These biscuits are possibly some of the BEST biscuits I have ever had. Their seasonal strawberry jam and butter are perfect sides to go with these biscuits, and the flavor had me OBSESSED. The texture of the biscuit is almost like a scone (in a good way!) and with a perfect outer crunchy shell with a delicious soft inside to reward every bite. This is definitely a must try in my opinion!

Fries: I tried some fries from a friends dish, they are delicious and evenly seasoned, pretty much exactly what you'd want from a French fry.

Allergy Section: I have a shellfish and nut allergy, so I like to include a section where I can talk about how well managed the allergy is in the kitchen. For shellfish allergy, there is no risk besides the shrimp being fried in the same fryer as the chicken and other fried foods. For the nut allergy, there is only 2 inclusions of it on the menu and when mentioning I was told what to avoid and they let the kitchen know.

Bar and Drinks:

Since I am not much of a drinker, my only review of this section is based off of the non alcoholic drinks section of their menu and how the bartenders were.

Overall the bar section is very lively on Friday and Saturday nights, lots of activity and people around. The bartenders were efficient, not really chatting much (not that they had to, it was an insanely busy day). Overall no complaints, the service was pretty much what you'd expect.

Boogie Board: This non alcoholic drink was really solid, my only complaint was you get a lot more ice than drink, but that's usually how it is at bars sometimes. Not sure if this would apply to other drinks, but for the boogie board this was certainly something noticeable.

Overall, the service was efficient, the bartenders were kind and helped when we needed something, and the service was overall great! Thanks to Coop De Ville for a great time, wishing your business...

We love their food when it’s done right, first and foremost. The reason for the low score is because their takeout experience is horrible. For a restaurant that opened in the midst of the pandemic, I would think that would be one area they would be better at. We used to live closer so the takeout issues were easier to work around, but now that we are a further drive out, I don’t know that we will continue to order from here.

The two main issues are the timing of their order preparation and how to remedy mistakes. The accept orders through toast so I can place the order for ASAP or schedule a time. If I schedule a time to arrive, it doesn’t matter to them. Yesterday I placed an order to pick up in 25 minutes since that was the earliest I could get there. I received a text 8 minutes after placing the order stating that it was ready. This isn’t the first time it’s happened and when I raised it with the host/hostess before, their responses didn’t offer anything more than an empty apology.

The second issue is when they mess up an order. Mistakes happen and when doing takeout it sucks to get home to find out something was not included or prepared improperly. Most restaurants this can be resolved over a phone call and figuring out an amenable resolution. Coop doesn’t seem to have a phone number that is actively answered. For awhile, they didn’t even have a phone number published. With the last issue that happened, I was able to call and leave a message. I received a call back, but it was well after our meal was over and my wife did not get all the food she ordered. I’m not about to drive back to a restaurant and hope I can speak to someone who cares enough to resolve the issue and not being able to speak to someone as soon as you realize a mistake was made is aggravating.

So again, the food is great when it is hot and as ordered; they have a lot of work to do to make it a better experience for people who prefer takeout for one reason or another. I don’t want to spend $50+ for my wife and I to eat a cold or...

WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMONDED MAKING RESERVATIONS!! We did not make reservations and were not given a wait time, specifically was told "we don't give out wait estimates". After waiting a hour and a half we find out we are next get our wristbands and wait another half-hour waiting for our table (I literally stared at an empty table for that half hour, which turned out to be ours). We are seated, told that as long as the reserved sign stays on our table we should be free to roam and no one will mess with our stuff, as well we found out we had to wait in yet two more lines. One to order food and the other to order at the bar. Food was ready surprisingly fast, had a chance to lose a game a pinball while I waited. Food was okay, not terrible but okay. I definitely would not have priced it as high as it is for two pieces a chicken, bread to sop up grease, some okay crinkle fries, and not even a 20 oz. soda, but 12oz. can. I'd bother with the bar because you have to "pre authorized" your credit card ie. start a tab to get one drink at the bar. Wasn't worth my time. The atmosphere was nice and homie totally not like your loud and flashy D&B's but more like upper class D&B's. Negative part of my evening is finding that our table was cleared. I mean we had the reserved sign on the table partially eaten meals, drinks and my keys on the table and it appeared that someone wiped our whole existence from that place in one foul swoop. Disappointing least to say that the very over priced chicken was discarded, personal affects disappeared, and we might have even lost out table to other flocking about outside waiting to get in. Took such an effort to get seated, to be treated as ghost, I thought standing there waiting for our table while crowd after crowd swarmed in before use, when we were next was disappointing and exhausting. Needless to say I will not make an effort to visit this establishment again, but also would not turn down an invitation if invited and only if reservations are...

I was so excited to go for the first time on Monday. We came around 6pm with a group of 6. We didn't realize there was a parking garage above Coop de Ville until we got here, but regardless there is about 2 other public lots paid around 1-2 blocks away thats worth it. We started out with food and tried out the various chicken sandwiches. Some got a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, Buffalo chicken, the Pittsburgh nasty, and the BLT with seasoned crinkle cut fries. The food is delicious and you order at a window station and get a text for pickup. The service was extra fast. This station has some water, teas, pops, etc as well. The chicken sandwiches was very good and nice big pieces of chicken. Between 1 sandwich and a fry to share you will be full. I loved the atmosphere, there was TONS of seating and fun different sections. They have a coffee bar with pastries, outdoor area, tons of indoor seating for tables, bars, games, and just couch areas as well. They have 1 bar area that does more beers and cocktails (sangria, mules, etc) This has tons of seating. They also have in the games area a "tiki bar" converted trailer with fun tropical drinks such as rum runner, pino colada, etc. These were AMAZING! And had a great amount of alcohol it felt worthwhile. They had a TON of games between old school game machines and pinball machines to choose from. They also have pool tables (2-3), bubble soccer/hockey, and even board games believe it or not. We did 2 games of duck pin bowling. This had a cute area, but the floor was CRAZY sticky. Mondays is half priced at $3.50 a game per person. For wings, they are ONLY offered on Mondays as well. Im so glad I came on a Monday I LOVED it here, and can't wait to come back

The menu looked really good online. I didn't realize it was inside a bowling alley and arcade, not that that's bad. Their menu just came off very fancy. I got the shrimp fritters, French fries, biscuits, and the hibiscus and raspberry cheese cake. The biscuits were almost burnt on the outside and had a weird flavor in the center. The jam that was included with them was cinnamon, apple and something that did not go with those two flavors at all. With the plan butter they were okay but I did not finish them because of the word flavor they had. The French fries were massively over seasoned and most of them were over done and dry. Not worth it The shrimp fritters were heavily seasoned with the blend that was on the fries. So much so I didn't taste any shrimp. The shrimp were over cooked and rubbery inside the soft and not crunchy fritter. It had more of a hush puppy texture than fritter. I was only able to get through them due to the roasted garlic sauce which was very good the hibiscus and raspberry cheese cake tasted really good except for the fact it had very hard parts of the flower still in the glaze. It was very annoying to eat with them. I had to use my fork to scrape them off. After I used my fork as a siv and got rid of the flower bits. The cheesecake was very very good. It might be a bit too sweet for some but I really liked it's balance. Over all very much not worth the amount of money I spent even with getting most of the food buy one get one free.

The ‘Coop’ has a lot going on in there. Although the theme and decor seemed puzzling, there is certainly a variety to entertain anyone. We went during the day, on a lovely Sunday afternoon. There is a coffee/tea shop. There is indoor and outdoor seating, covered and uncovered. There is a huge bar. There is a mini bowling alley, pool tables, seating areas with table games, vending machines and pinball machines. It was busy and one poor lady (who happened to be pregnant) was keeping the entire place clean 🧽 for the masses. I think she could use an extra person. Those tables,of various sizes, in various places, can get pretty messy. Other than that, you basically order at the window and help yourself. You seat yourself wherever and they send you a text when your food is ready. The coffee shop and staff were really wonderful and the tea was delicious. They are kind of off to themselves and more hands on. The food was pretty tasty and the bar serves pretty strong drinks if you are into that sort of thing. I really enjoyed the sausage gravy, very hearty and well seasoned. The food is almost like a sideshow to everything else going on in there. I wish there was more of a restaurant vibe on that end of the venue as opposed to a cafeteria vibe, but that’s just my opinion and opinions are…everybody’s got one.
