The man who owns this coffee shop seems to be purely lazy. Given that one of the baristas that I met relayed to me that they have to go accross the street themselves to his other business to restock on items when they run low instead of having someone else take care of that. Which just seems plain dumb because youre asking for a patron to steal behind the counter with that type of business structure because they only have one barista at a time working there. Also, his coffee is mediocre at best and knowing that he puts far too much responsibility on his baristas to run it for him is careless… and it does not promote a smooth flow of operations for the customers either. Maybe we as paying customers should support businesses that treat their employees like human beings at the very least. The owner doesnt even provide enough options on the menu for customers let alone. Whoever bakes their treats to taste like dry sand paper should...
Read moreWhile visiting Pittsburgh, we walked from our accommodation to Inkwell coffee shop two of the mornings we were in town.

Solid combo of friendly staff, good treats, and a nice balance of coffee options — consistent drip coffee, traditional (low sugar/dairy) espresso-based drink options, and classic novelty drinks. Nice place to work. Never quite slammed, never totally empty. Windows and plants. Paintings with aggressive use of color. Hand written menu. You know the drill. Coffee shops can be hit or miss in regards to what they present themselves to be — this is your typical funky oddball coffee joint, and the dart doesn't just hit the bullseye, it passes through the dartboard and into the...
