The second Vietnamese place I've tried in the city. It was pretty good, although I think I might prefer the other place (Pho and Roll) a tad bit more. Nonetheless, I ordered the vermicelli bowl in the 'pork n roll' style (without lettuce) as well as the black tea mango boba/bubble tea with passion fruit pop boba.

The vermicelli noodles were pretty good, and came in a good portion. The price is quite fair for the portion. The carrots were delicious. Very well marinated and the perfect balance of savoriness to sweetness. Crunchy and fresh.

The sauce was also pretty good. I will say, it's on the sweet side. Personally, I like my sauces sweeter though, so it wasn't a problem. Decent amount of sauce too.

What I wasn't that big of a fan of was, unfortunately, the meat. It was hard and kind of chewy, not tender. Also, the flavor was kind of strange, almost stale-tasting. It didn't take like the maple sugar-flavored meat I thought it was going to be. But, the meat portion was solid.

Finally, I thought the boba was really good. I know some people come here just for the boba, and I can see why. It's not overly sweet and has a great flavor. I couldn't really taste the bitterness in the black tea, which is good. Tasted mainly just like mango. And the popping boba is amazing! Soft and easy to pop, great fruity flavor.

All in all, a nice spot for Vietnamese sandwiches and bowls. Do not overlook the boba, as that's really good. Fresh and decent prices. Pork...

You know the food is good when you go back twice in a 4 hour period. Such was the case with Bahn Mi & Ti. The staff was very friendly and helpful as they took time to explain their offerings and whether it would be recommended as a bahn mi or noodle soup. I opted for their Viet Special on my first trip and the Pork Belly on the next go. Both were extremely delicious on the Breadworks French baguette. The pork belly was good and actually the first time I've ever had it. Tender, flavorful and delicious. The house mayo made the sandwiches come together beautifully!

The star of the show was the Viet Special and it lived up to its name. Indeed it was special. I've eaten my share of sandwiches as they are my #2 favorite food after hot wings and this was the best sandwich I've had in my life. No exaggeration. It is hands down the best sandwich in Pittsburgh. You can keep your Pit beef and New York style deli sandwiches and the likes of Primanti Brothers, I'm not from Pittsburgh and have no ties with tradition. I've tried them all and with an unbiased opinion, i can truly say the Viet Special at Bahn Mi & Ti is the best sandwich I've eaten in Pittsburgh and my life!!!!

The peach teach was also good and refreshing. The perfect balance of crisp, sweet and tart. But let's be honest, I was there for...

Picked up a Banh Mi and a couple shrimp rolls, plus strawberry lemonade after a brutal day at Children's Hospital with my son.

Honestly, it turned my entire day around.

Look - I was raised in Lawrence County, PA so my knowledge/standards of what is considered "good" Vietnamese food can be taken with a grain of salt.

I was in there at a weird time, around 3p, so I'm pretty sure I was the only customer at the time. That said, service was very quick and polite. 5 stars. Atmosphere was pleasant too.

I really enjoyed the Banh Mi. The sandwich roll (bread) was the best I've ever had for a Banh Mi. Chicken/Cilantro/veggie/carrot mix was great too and didn't overwhelm me in terms of spiciness, though I have a high tolerance. The sweetness of the strawberry lemonade was a perfect compliment. This was probably the 5th Banh Mi I've ever had in my life and my favorite so far.

Shrimp rolls were fresh-tasting and a good appetizer.

I paid $26 bucks for all three items. Thought it was fair in this day and age. I'd pay $26 bucks again for all three items because they really hit the spot. I'm fairly certain I can find a cheaper one somewhere in the city, but for Lawrenceville it was about what I expected.

If I lived on this side of town, I would definitely come back in the morning to try...

Unbelievably fresh and delicious food. I have been eating at Banh Mi & Ti for over 2 years now. Every single time I visit I enjoy the food just like the first time. Everything on the sandwich is made fresh and authentic. The Viet Special is my favorite sandwich, but the Xa Xiu is excellent as well and a good starting point if you are unfamiliar with Vietnamese food. Order the Viet Special and make sure you get egg and Sriracha on it. They also serve delicious boba tea and other assorted drinks. This is a great spot for quick food or if you want to experience something new. They also offer catering if you want have that for your next event. The prices are far and the quality of the food makes every bite worth while. Parking can sometimes be a hassle, especially later in the day, but something always opens up and it is a short walk. The employees are professional and friendly and will chat with you if you want. All I have are positive things to say about this restaurant. Try it out once and you will be a fan for life. I hope this place stays around for a long time because it is one of the jewels of Lawrenceville.

Lunch stop during open streets Pittsburgh bike riding. My brother picked up the sandwich while I watched the bikes. We got the beef Banh Mi sandwich and ate it outside. It was so good that I went back to pick up a sandwich later the same day for my husband. Came back got into what I thought was the line. No one’s offered to take my order. A couple came in a few minutes after me and the cashier asked if they could help them as soon as they came in. I of course let them know I had been there prior and that yes they can certainly help me. I asked for the beef banh mi sandwich and they told me that they ran out. I got 2 of the recommended pork bowls instead. Was not a big deal and would NOT recommend. A lot of rice. Minimal veggies. Was a hit earlier with the sandwich and then a miss with the bowls. The sandwich is good though and worth the stop if you decide to pass through Butler Street, Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh. The sauce they use really makes the sandwich pop with the bread and veggies.
