What's for dinner? (Monday~ March 2, 2020)

Tacos! To drink: Pineapple Express!!! 🍽

My last visit was my first unsatisfactory visit!!! The tacos were cool inside!! They rectified that situation!! Today was much better!! But, I’m gonna tell it straight like how I feel...I still didn't have the fire ignited inside of me like after the first few times I came!! It’s all because of temperature!!

I'm super picky just as an FYI!!

The people are great!! I love the hard shell inside of a soft with refried beans & so forth!! It's the temperature of the food!! Hot foods should be hot. Cold... cold!! Ying and yang!! This & that!!

Meal specs: This time was good but not great. I still had a slight temperature situation!! Most of it was hot except for a very middle inner center portion was not cold but not warm.. cool is the word, I guess!! I still like their tacos! But, I am back on the prowl for a new taco place!

I shared my experience with a co-worker who I referred here & he said, after consideration, that he agreed!! He likes the taco too but agreed that the temperature the last time that he went was off! Anyway, Next stop, El Campesino Restaurante Mexicano is where I'll go... stay tuned!

Drink specs:🍹 The pineapple express was really good!! I substituted vodka instead of tequila!! It’s much better that way!!

Bon...

An absolutely incredible experience all around. Let me set the scene...

As a traveler coming in from out of town, I am greeted by smiling faces as I step into the warm environment that is Condado Lawrenceville. Tired from my travels, I am guided to a seat at the bar and promptly given a water, while allowed the perfect amount of time to peruse the menu, selecting the perfect combination of delicious food. Phy, who has been previously mentioned in several google reviews prior to this one, is the real deal. She was extremely personable, yet not pushy. She gave recommendations when asked and guided me through the menu, knowing it like the back of her hand. As a visitor in a new place, it can be overwhelming - but not with Phy. She made Condado feel like home. After warming up with the Mexican Street Corn that she had suggested, I ordered a bowl, perfectly curated just for me. The best decision I have ever made. Obviously made with care, this bowl was the best I've ever had. I ended my meal, thankful that I had chosen Condado Tacos.

I cannot say enough good things about Condado Lawrenceville and about Phy. I have never been to such an amazing establishment, and I am sure I will never find a place so great. Until I return again, I will long for the place that...

We were recommended by a very good friend of ours about this place. We visited 23 Oct 20. We were disappointed by the taste of the food and drinks. We tried condado's signature fire she'll chicken taco with brisket. Also we tried soft tortillas Taco's with roasted chicken, these were soggy right when they arrived on our table. Most likely they were waiting too long in the kitchen wrapped in aluminum foil. Also, I really doubt whether they really serve margaritas or just flavoured tequila cocktails. Bubbled and blush was too sour. I literally had to gulp it down with a sip of water. The other cocktail - Delicioso was too bitter and too spicy again.

I am sure that this place was once really good given the reputation of this place and feedback we received from our close friends. But I don't know what happened recently...may their business got hit by covid or something.

In Short, I can say - their current quality of food and taste is poor than...

Wish I could go higher on this review. I placed an order at 6:25 PM. Received a message to pick up at seven. I was promptly there at 7 PM. My order was still in the kitchen but ready to go and the hostess probably brought it out. We ordered eight different tacos with queso Blanco and traditional guacamole. All of the tacos were put together in the bag wrapped in foil and unmarked. Everything was cold. When I got back to my place which was five minutes away we had to unwrap every taco and guess what was what. It was my first time trying it and it was hard to tell whether the tacos were good because they were cold. The nachos were pretty greasy and rather tough. The queso Blanco and the traditional guacamole however were excellent. I may try it again because my kids recommended it and really like the tacos but I really can’t say anything much better about it right now.

A great place to try if you're craving tacos. They have many vegetarian options and even have vegan options as well. I always get the 3 buds appetizer. You get to choose 3 items from their selection of salsas or quesos to go with their very addictive chips.. I highly recommend the corn salsa and queso blanco. Regarding the tacos I chose the Dutch Dragon. They use both a hard shell and soft with portobello, jicama slaw and jalapeños. It's the perfect combo of spicy and tangy. The vegetarian chorizo was very good but it doesn't live up to the discontinued High Rise taco which had a flour soft shell, queso blanco, rice, black beans, eggs, cilantro + onions, and dirty sauce. Which they had some dessert options. Other than the lack of desserts it's worth a try.
