The drinks are more expensive here than most bars on the stretch on Fridays and Saturdays. To give you an indicator, a PBR was $4 and better beers cost more. I've had fun in the bar before but there are several bad experiences that have made me not want to go here anymore. I've been not let in at 1:30 am to meet my friends because "it was too late to let anyone in". I was not drinking since I was DDing my friends so I was definitely not belligerent. They were lying as I saw them let in 10 people after me. During my most recent experience, they did not let me in cause I was wearing boots. I've worn boots in there before. They let girls in who were wearing boots. I found this to be an unfair double standard. There was 3 inches of snow on the ground. On a separate occasion, a good friend of mine was kicked out for absolutely no reason. The bouncers just walked up to him out of nowhere and escorted him out. We followed him because he was our friend and DD for the night. Basically my experiences have been that the bouncers have an attitude/power problem that you will not experience at most other bars on this stretch. Read some of these other reviews and you'll see that the mistreatment by security is all too common. Go to Mario's, Carson City, or Finn McCool's and you'll be...
Read moreMy gf and I went out for drinks and the short blonde that works downstairs was by far the worst bartender, very childish. She immediately threw an attitude when I didn't tip her on my card for the first round of drinks I had purchased. ( usually while at the bar I buy a few drinks then tip with cash) I noticed it right away. My gf proceeds to ask for salt and the bartender practically threw it at her. The blonde then stated "if you don't tip then don't come back" she then told us she would have us thrown out, stating we are there every weekend and never tip( it was our first time at this bar in years). I told her she was mistaken but she insisted it was us. Luckily my partner and I vibrate on a higher frequency so we didn't let her ruin our night... she wanted to fight with us, it was clear... to get us thrown out. Honestly I wouldn't even be posting this but her last comment got to me.."how bout I just tip myself" really Jimmy D's? This is how your servants talk to people? After I had bought a round of expensive drinks??? But like I said my partner and I didn't let her get to us, we simple went upstairs and ordered from the nice gentleman, tipped him well. We will never be back. 10/13/2018 side note, you don't get tipped if you...

I walk in and i'm delighted to see a huge wall of taps, but as I closed in, I realize only three or so of them are hooked up, and two of them were bud and miller. I tired the third one, an IPA I had not seen before, priced ok at around six dollars if recall. It was priced on but a bit bitter for my taste and I called it a night for alcohol.
I moved up stairs and had roughly the same experience with dance floor. At first I was over joyed to see if was full. The dJ was mixing radio hits, but doing so competently. However, as I made my way into the crowd, I worked out very quickly no one was really dancing, flirting, or making merry. They were just sort of swaying back and forth and mouthing the words of the song. This wasn't helped by a relatively low energy set list for this sort of thing. There was no room to dance myself, and no one seemed to feel much like hanging out. The bass was also kinda weak for a room of that size.
Many songs, and an hour or so later, I gave up waiting for fire from the speakers, closed my tab, and strolled back out to find a harder party. It's not a bad spot to spend the evening, but there are better...
