Monk's Bar — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

As the sign over the bar says, The Monk is the smallest licensed bar in Pennsylvania. Housed in The Priory hotel, itself a former monastery, it had previously served as a library and vault. It can comfortably--snugly, perhaps--seat 10 people. On a quiet Monday night, I had the space to myself. Hotel guests are allowed to bring their purchases to their rooms, but I loved sitting in the bar by myself (typing these words).
