I am giving this rating because I watched an old man completely intoxicated and barely able to walk without falling over leave this establishment and get in his car and drive away. To witness this was disturbing. I feel it is the responsibility of the employees to be observant & refuse to serve or at lease call the guy an Uber/lyft. Didnt get license plate so I couldn’t call the police but I felt compelled to call Nico’s. I asked for manager & first I was told no one was there. When I explained the reason, suddenly a manager got on the phone (if he really was the manager). The first response was “how do you know he came from here”? Why would I bother to make the effort to call?!?! I saw him walk out the door while sitting at the traffic light!!!! And I had already told him this. Then he said they were really busy. Ugh I don’t want to hear the excuses. Then said he would talk to the staff....ok at this point what else can they do, right? I sure hope that man made it home safe without causing a serious accident. Wonder if he is a “regular”.

Read moreI’ve been a semi-regular at Nico’s Recovery Room for a couple years and usually love it - the food is fantastic and most of the staff are great. Unfortunately, there are two staff members (a husband/wife team, I've been told) whose shifts consistently ruin the experience.
Last night was the breaking point: it took 15 minutes just to get menus (only after flagging someone down), nearly an hour to get our food, and dishes came out one or two at a time with silverware forgotten. To top it off, my friend’s card was accidentally charged for both of our meals.
This isn’t a one-time issue - I’ve noticed the same problems whenever these two are working, for months now. When other staff are on, service is excellent. But with these two, it’s chaos. Out of the four of us last night, two said they won’t be back at all. Personally, I still want to love Nico’s, but at this point I feel like I need to check who’s working before...
Read moreI don’t usually like to leave negative reviews, but just wow.. rudest, rudest waitstaff I have come across. One of the female waitstaff aggressively belittled a customer while she was trying to order just because she had an empty can in her hand that wasn’t purchased in the bar. The waitress even checked to see it was empty, but still made this girl feel awful for carrying it in the front door. Little Italy Days was going on outside and everyone was buying and carrying drinks around the street, so it happens. Maybe they’re only nice to their regulars? Not sure, just know we were treated horribly and so was the group beside us. Would not recommend and wish we had...
