Panera Bread — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

This Panera location has gone downhill. It's really disappointing. The Waterworks is a thriving shopping center and I know this Panera does a killing with business but the service and quality is so lackluster. Is it a lack of sufficient staffing? Or is it that the staff has no care or concerns for the quality of their jobs or the customers experience? Every time and every thing I ever order is wrong somehow. Missing ingredients, missing sides, thrown together in a sloppy mess, tossed into a take out bag and falling apart. And lately, the conditions of inside the restaurant are dismal. Dirty tables, floors, coffee area and restrooms. This should be the perfect spot for meal but I plan on avoiding this location from now on.

This location gets very busy. They often run out of items here. The staff is okay and the restaurant could be a bit more tidy. On my recent visit I tried Panera's new toasted baguettes. We shared the Buffalo Chicken and Green Goddess Caprese. I preferred the Green Goddess. The baguettes are huge and very filling. A nice addition to...

I haven’t actually eaten in this location for years, but I walked in to use the bathroom at 5:30pm on Monday. Half the restaurant was closed and block off. At 5:30pm. They’re supposed to be open to 8pm. I had to walk past the baked goods, where two employees were talking. And past the entree ordering counter where no employees were stationed, to get to the ladies’ room all the way at the back. There were several tables occupied, but the garbage bin was sitting out blocking the aisle next to their tables while two employees sat in a booth chatting. This place is dirty, and crowded because only half of the restaurant is open at dinner time, and the employees still can’t seem to handle the business. As I walked out, an employee behind the baked goods counter wished me a good evening. I remember when this place opened years ago, it was a great place to meet friends and the food was good and the service was good too. After reading the other recent reviews I wonder what will take their place after they close. Which...

I love Panera Bread and eat there regularly but this location consistently messes up my order. Today I went in and asked for half of a sandwich, half soup, and a warm cookie....I received no cookie, the wrong soup and no sandwhich initially. I go to the counter and ask for the rest of my order....I STILL received no warm cookie as silly as that seems, but its what I asked and paid for, and didn't realize it wasn't the correct soup until I had returned back to work and was too far to go back and exchange. This happens consistently. SO DISAPPOINTING! I wish there was another location close to my place...
