Food was decent, maybe a bit on the greasy side. However, the woman who runs the place is a terrible person. I arrived with two coworkers, and we ordered as usual. We lined up one by one at the cash register, where we paid, and went on. However, the lady didn't mention that we had to take a ticket to get our food. I stuck around for a few seconds, and then she randomly gave me my ticket, and the ticket for one of my coworkers, saying, "Give this to him, I'm done (expletive) playing around." However, she didn't give a ticket for my other coworker.
They announced our tickets, but my coworker without a ticket obviously didn't know which order, so he stuck around to see if they would be able to figure out which was his. After five minutes of waiting, the woman looked up and said, "I'm not giving you your food. You didn't take a ticket." They went back and forth for a few minutes before the woman started ignoring him. A few minutes later, one of the girls working behind the counter snuck over and gave my coworker his food without saying anything, while the other woman wasn't looking. Overall, a...
Read moreAn iconic Pittsburgh institution. This place is great with a bunch of really cool guys who work there. I went in attempting to use my Entertainment coupon but had technical difficulties with it so they gave me the discount regardless. This particular place is ideal for guys, as there is a lot of jockular humour from and among the guys working behind the counter and they have a good sense of humor, appearing to enjoy their job. I try to stop here while working whenever I can when I come through the strip. The food is outstanding and for anyone who happens to be visiting Pittsburgh, your stay will not be complete without a stop at Peppis. Granted, any tip to Pittsburgh wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Strip district, and that means many options for food. However, Peppis is a famous local Pittsburgh chain as well as icon, so don't pass this place up. There are other Peppis but this is my favorite, especially as this one accepts cash and cards, unlike the one on...
Read moreI came on a tasting event which I know you're not going to get the best food of the restaurant, which I still think is kind of silly because they're supposed to be putting their best foot forward and selling themselves.
But it was just a ham sub. The bread was very dry. It wasn't steamed or toasted or anything. It was just a very thick sub roll that was very dry. Had a little bit of meat on it and a little bit of lettuce and tomato like. No mayo or sauce that I could tell. I was looking forward to eating here because I'd heard good things, but the first impression I got from here wasn't great. It wasn't horrid like some other places but it does not make me want to come back. Maybe I'll try them another time, but there's a lot of really good places right around here so they have stiff competition. I mean the ham, lettuce tomato was okay average. Nothing special. The bread too thick too dry.
Nothing really more to add. There wasn't...
