Soul Pasta — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

What an awesome new spot! This spot followed me on Google so I just had to try them out. They are mostly focused on pasta and sandwiches. They also have sauces made in house. I tried their spinach and ricotta ravioli with marinara sauce and their Nutella cruffin.

The pasta was very good and clearly homemade. They use a great amount of filling. The spinach tastes super fresh and the ricotta is pretty creamy as well. The homemade tomato sauce was also very good. It's simple, nothing crazy, but just well made. Topped with some tasty cheese too!

They also give you 2 pieces of bread with your pasta order. I'm not sure if the bread is made in house, and it was just okay. Personally, I'd prefer the bread be served separately from the pasta (like not in the same container) since it got very soggy.

The cruffin I got was super delicious. I've never had this dessert before, but it was so, so good. Great amount of Nutella. Perfectly buttery and crispy on the sides. Nice and softer interior. Great.

All in all, definitely check this place out. The prices are super fair and the food is very good, and clearly homemade. Great pasta...

I had the mafalde pasta with arrabbiata sauce. It was delicious! My toddler’s had the bigoli pasta with marinara sauce (not pictured) with a side of meatballs. They loved it! I also got the fried raviolis with arrabbiata sauce, and I will have dreams about that appetizer. The food is amazing but the owners are the real stars. The most friendly, helpful restaurant owners I’ve ever met. Saw us struggling to get in the door with two strollers and ran out to hold it open. Went through the menu with us. Even held the baby so we could eat! It was so nice being able to sit inside and eat. I can’t wait to go back WITHOUT the kids and enjoy some pasta and wine (byob) 🫶🏻

Soul Pasta catered our wedding in August and I was so pleased with their commitment to deliciousness, communication, and professionalism from start to finish.

They personally came to our home for a tasting, and talked through all of the details of our event. I felt like they truly cared about us and taking care of our guests who had a variety of dietary needs.

The food IS DELICIOUS. Our guests raved about the pasta, and how flavorful everything tasted.

The meal was affordable, and I didn’t feel like the price was marked up just for a wedding.
