So I foolishly buy a Tuba on EBay from Russia. What’s wrong with that? The Tuba’s only padding was a single sheet of newspaper rolled into a ball in the bell. The Tuba arrived looking like it had been run over. The bell was smashed in. Odd pieces were rolling around the bottom of the box. It wasn’t just the money but to treat an instrument like that broke my heart. Since I take lessons at The Center I brought the Tuba with me figuring there wasn’t much to do but hope to get a refund. Ralph the owner said he could help and he did. First they meticulously repackaged the tuba and shipped it to Florida. Then he was able to custom make a case for my old Russian Tuba. I have never had anyone in my entire life do something so nice. The Tuba is once more a glorious instrument. There aren’t enough words to thank Ralph.
