We made a reservation and had to wait an extra 30 mins. It wasn’t just us all the 2pm reservations were waiting. We only finally got sat because I approached the manager. The hostess sat us and then sat down all our silverware in 1 huge pile! We had to distribute it ourselves. That is not what I expect from The Cheesecake Factory. There was no bread available for an hour! Our meals took an hour also. The waitress never asked if our meals were ok or if our steak was how we liked it. As a matter of fact we weren’t even given steak knives with our steaks! She finally stopped at our table and asked if we needed a steak knife. I said we need 2 please and she looked annoyed. Our table had 2 steak dinners. Our waitress was very obnoxious when I asked if we could have our bread. She looked at me like why do we need it we have our meals! She only refilled 1 drink 1 time and it was a water. I ordered 2 alcoholic fruity drinks. She brought me only one. I thought ok whatever she forgot. No big deal. After I finished that drink I asked for a red wine and another fruity drink. She said she could only serve 1 drink at a time. A little weird since I have dined here multiple times and always order a wine and a fruity drink together. She serves my wine and then 10 mins later brings my fruity drink. So now I have 2 drinks after she told me I was only allowed 1 at a time! At this point we finally have our meals! So my drinks are pushed between myself and my daughter sitting across from me. The waitress stops us in the middle of our meal demanding to see my daughter’s I.D! Bear in mind my daughter is 21 years old BUT she at NO point touched my drinks! I told the waitress those drinks are mine not hers. The waitress walked away annoyed and from that point on she was rude and her service was aggressive. We did not deserve this treatment! We were a calm, polite nicely dressed family but we are a mixed race family. I can’t help but question if that played a role in how she treated us. I have never had such horrible service at this location. I hope no one is ever treated the way we were. The quality of food was okay. It wasn’t nearly as good as it has been on previous visits. Please bear in mind we easily spend $1,000 a month at this Cheesecake Factory location and tip very, very graciously. This will be our last trip to this location and possibly to any...
Read moreTLDR: Bring your reading glasses, the menu(s) is(are) extensive. Bring your appetite too, the portions are generous, the wait staff are great, and the food-- especially dessert is delicious! When you walk in the door there is a counter with a vast array of cheesecake varieties. If you make it past that counter, you will see a large bar area with an appropriate selection of "adult" beverages. There are multiple dining rooms beyond with large and small tables and booths. The decor is appealing; our companion suggested it had a "Neo-Moroccan" theme. We were seated quickly and our server promptly brought menus and took our drink order. The service at Cheesecake Factory is always amazing, the wait staff are just the right amount of attentive without being obtrusive. We always appreciate that they wait a moment for a break in our table's conversation to speak to us and don't interrupt. That makes us feel valued as customers. After perusing all three menus, we both chose the Chicken Madeira dish and it was delicious, but there were so many other things that we would have happily ordered that it was a difficult decision. For dessert we had cheesecake, of course, and it was also delicious. Our dinner companion requested the server bring her dessert in a takeout box so she could eat half and save the other and that sounded like a good idea since the portion of Chicken Madeira and mashed potatoes was so generous that we both already had "doggie bags" of what we couldn't finish. Our only two quibbles were that the asparagus which was part of the Chicken Madeira dish was only four spears. They were attractively crisscrossed on the chicken, but it was so tasty that we would have liked more. Yes, we wanted a little more generosity in portion size of asparagus, lol. Also, our companion ordered ginger ale and was brought a glass of ice and a 16 or 20 ounce bottle of ginger ale, obviously not a free refill situation, but the cost was $4.95. Similarly the coffee we ordered with dessert was $4.95 for a cup. Both of those seemed a little high in price, but that may be how Cheesecake Factory keeps the meals reasonably affordable. All said, we love Cheesecake Factory and look forward to...
Read moreIntended on ordering half a Godiva chocolate cheesecake to go but when my husband got home we discovered that we ended up with a Ghirardelli very cherry cheesecake instead. If it was just a different chocolate or a few cherry on top it would be no big deal but this is called a “very cherry” cheesecake for good reason. We called to try and make it right but were told the mistake was strictly on us. My husband worked super hard for my birthday present, I said all I wanted was the Godiva chocolate cheesecake for us to share. He took our 5 kids downtown to get me the Godiva chocolate cheesecake, and they gave him the “very cherry” ghiradelli, saying my husband said he wanted “ghiradelli chocolate.” Sooooo rather than clarifying, they gave us a $33 incorrect 1/2 cheesecake that was cherry instead of chocolate, who even knew they had that one??! They said it was our mistake, tough luck. Understood, but you have two chocolate cakes with similarly named chocolates and very different flavor profiles, why would you not clarify that when cherry was never mentioned??? I’d be happy to change my review if cheesecake would like to change their response. I did love their food(but NOT the very cherry cheesecake!) and the staff was kind and worked to be helpful when the order was placed!
Buyer beware when ordering your chocolate cheesecake.
TCF, you may want to consider training staff on this issue or adding default buttons into your POS that prompt staff to clarify so as to help to keep this type of thing from happening. If your consumer is requesting and expecting chocolate but gets cherry instead there is likely a level of complexity on your menu that needs to...
