I have never written a complaint to a fast food restaurant. I'm a Pitt student, and was a manager at McDonald's for two years, so I know good service, and I also understand what it means to be short staffed.
I went through the drive thru with my boyfriend because we were doing doordash together and had two orders to pickup. This wendy's always has rude staff and is super slow, but never experienced anything like tonight.
When going through the drive thru, my boyfriend told the manager on the intercom that he had a doordash order - she replied with "we're closed." When he asked if they by any chance had it made, her response was "wee're closed." I told him to pull up to the window because maybe she couldn't hear us correctly.
When he pulled up, I asked her if they had any doordash orders made, again, her only response - "we're closed."
Worst part - they served a customer right after me who had a double order, and while doing that, she complained to the customer about how she wasn't serving us because she was short staffed - she told the customer that I should clock in, go to the kitchen, and make the order myself.
Oh and to make things even worse, when I drove past the store 10 minutes later - the wendy's was open and still serving customers.
The manager working the drive thru was the rudest fast food workers I've ever encountered in my life - actually she may be ruder than any customer I ever dealt with as a manager at Mcdonald's - if you've ever worked fast food, you know that's saying a lot.
I'd honestly rather starve than go to this wendy's again. The restaurant needs a whole new staff. If you decide to go to this wendy's, expect the worse, and know that it's probably still going to fail to meet your...
Read moreI placed a mobile order around 2:15am, arrived at the restaurant by 2:30. They were clearly busy and when I pulled to the drivethru I was told to come to the door for my order. I waited for almost an hour until 3:25am with about 20-30 DoorDash and GrubHub drivers. The person bringing up the food didn’t seem to care about how many people were waiting or the accuracy of the orders they were giving out. By 3:30am, I counted 22 bags of food sitting on the shelf unclaimed and there were nine drivers waiting and I was waiting for my own personal order. We were then told the restaurant was closed (a half hour early) and we needed to cancel our orders. They then started to give out the food that had been sitting on the shelves for free (some things had been there for an hour). I was handed two bags of food that I couldn’t eat because I have dietary restrictions. When I got home, I saw the orders I was handed belonged to two people whose drivers had shown up but were told the food wasn’t ready. So, not only were we all treated rudely, but the woman giving out the food wasn’t even reading the names on the bags when they were giving away the food. I feel bad for Ankit C and Nick H that they didn’t get their food because I also didn’t receive the order I had placed through the Wendy’s app. I have been to this location many times before and drive out of my way past two other locations to come here. Never have I been given such piss poor service. The workers that were there tonight should be embarrassed by the level of service given. I’m grateful I didn’t have to pay for the food because not only was it not my order, but I couldn’t eat half of what I was given and it was cold from sitting there...
Read moreI placed an order on the kiosk for the GHOST PEPPER SANDWHICH MEAL and proceed to the pick up. Not once did I rush the coworkers. I wait about 10 minutes for my meal. I check my sandwich and it is missing items that coincide with the GHOST PEPPER SANDWICH. I proceed to the counter and say "Theirs items missing on my sandwich." The young lady behind the counter says "Is it a spicy chicken sandwich or regular?" I say it's the GHOST PEPPER SANDWICH." She ask me again is it spicy or regular. I tell her that I didn't have an option to pick SPICY or REGULAR. It's the GHOST PEPPER SANDWICH, and it's missing items. She says "I can see that it's missing items. Is it SPICY or REGULAR." Once again I repeat myself. With her attitude, she tells the person making the sandwich to make me a new one. I get my new sandwich. I check this sandwich. Not only is it lacking GHOST pepper sauce on the sandwich, they put little effort into adding the sauce to the sandwich and forgot to put cheese on it. I go back to the counter. The same young lady says, with a look and attitude "What's wrong with your sandwich this time.?" I say "They forgot the cheese." This young lady seems to have an attitude and I say that because she said out loud to another coworker "...it's the customers" in reference to all their screw ups. I asked for a return. At this point, with that attitude, I can't trust that my food wouldn't be tampered with. I went to Arbys one block...
