Surprisingly good. It's much better than Fuku Tea that it replaced. Be prepared for a long line because people don't have to bus to Squirrel Hill for good boba anymore.
Wushiland's selling point seems to be the ability to choose not only the sweetness level but also the sugar type for your boba. They have standard sugar, brown sugar, and organic sugar syrup (honey?). You won't straight up find brown sugar boba on the menu. However, you will get it if you select "Milk Tea" with the "Brown Sugar" option. I don't recommend the brown sugar for the fruit teas. Just note that because of this quirk, the lineup for boba is quite long.
Another great unique feature is that they use pure yakult for their yogurt boba drinks. They offer a yogurt green tea to give a straight yakult flavor while other boba spots will force you to have it with a fruit.
They are also the only place so far that does mini boba. It's not my cup of tea, but it is good.
Much like Tsaocaa, they do not use powders. It's real ingredients... I think.
Service is quite fast. Once you order, you will get your boba in 5 minutes or less.
Overall, it's a great place for Pittsburgh. No longer will students have to travel out of Oakland...
Read moreI tried an Ovaltine oat latte with red bean. I tried the red beans since I wasnât feeling like pearls and I thought it might be interesting, and it was actually a nice combo, although the red bean almost overpowered the Ovaltine. There was a lot of red bean! It was a good drink and I really appreciated that most drinks could be made with oat milk. With the red bean, there was an option to order âblendâ or âno blendâ. I got âblendâ expecting it might be like a paste, but they were just slightly mashed. They seem to want you to order from the kiosk, which wouldnât bother me except that the touch screen or interface or something was having a problem that made it really hard to scroll without closing the menu you were viewing, so youâd have to reopen it and then attempt to scroll again. There was luckily no one in line behind me but I wouldâve felt so bad to hold up the line just trying to scroll down to view all the toppings. There is virtually no interaction with the staff if you use the kiosk. While itâs not exactly cozy, thereâs lots of seating. It seemed like everything was...
Read moreIf I could, I would give this place zero stars due to customer service from the cashier and the multi-colored haired boba-rista in the back.
This is my first time going to Wushiland in Pittsburgh as my last time in California was a great experience with excellent boba. My friend who worked in the Wushiland in Taiwan told me to try the four seasons tea with modification.
Today, I asked to make the modification to the Four Seasons tea as requested and the cashier laughed and joked around with my request with her friend in the back in front of my face. That had left a bad taste in my mouth before even trying the drink.
After trying the drink, the taste below average at best, unlike in California! The boba itself was mushy and lacked flavor
If you want better tasting boba, Just go anywhere else! "YoTea!" is 2-3 blocks away, or drive to Teachana in Strip district or T-Baar in East Liberty! Those place have both good quality tea and far superior customer service than this sad excuse of...
