Yee Siang Dumplings — Restaurant in Pittsfield Charter Township

I used to love this place, I don't know how it could have changed so much. To start, they should not have their daughter working the front. I can only assume she is a daughter cause of how horrible her work ethic was. She did nothing but play on her phone and look annoyed at everyone. No acknowledgement when you walked in, and the look she gave almost made you feel like you shouldn't be there. You had get her attention away from her phone to take your order. She also ignored the one other table and the 6 dirty tables for the entire time we were there. She never did anything besides take our order and stare at the door dashers wordlessly. She didn't even run our food, that was all done by the lady working the back. It would have been a better dining experience had it been just the lady in the back. The lady in the back offered us a refill on our water (only when we were ready to leave) and a box for our food, not our server. The lady in the back also started to clean the dirty tables close to before we left. At least her working in the back would have made the level of service acceptable. The daughter only taking orders and not doing anything else made it feel like really bad service. If it had been only the lady in the back it would have felt just left like they were understaffed and it would have been more acceptable.

The food also completely changed, it has to be new management. My favorite dish tasted nothing like it used to, it was presented differently. The other dishes we got were also different from the past and had less flavor. They did give a complementary welcome dish and that was tasty. I am so sad that this place...

service was absolutely horrible here. Our server was extremely hostile the whole time, would not leave our table. Our waters smelled like bleach, silverware was dirty , our table was sticky. My friend was given the wrong dish ( we weren’t aware it was the wrong dish ) she’s literally eating the noodles and mid way into eating she comes over to our table & snatches the bowl away and proceeds to mention how she gave her the wrong dish so she finishes her bite puts the fork back in the bowl which is in the air at this point because she had take the bowl and just leaves. We brush it off, when she comes back i asked her what dish it was because I actually enjoyed it and wanted one for myself, she comes back not even a minute later and hands me THE SAME BOWL , it was half way eaten out of, mixed around, literally same exact dish. We wrap it up, pay & we didn’t tip on the receipt, we’re getting up getting ready to leave and she leans over the table while we’re still there & looks at the receipt and says wheres my tip? And i said yes I didn’t tip on my card, mind you i had cash in my wallet which is in my pocket pants, i was gonna tip CASH when i got up, i was still sitting down at this point, before I get a chance to respond, she SNATCHES THE RECEIPT AND YELLS “ THIS PLACE DONT EVER COME BACK “ and i still politely say “ thats fine, we weren’t planning on it “. First time I have come here and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had from going to a restaurant. The food it had NO salt, NO flavor, and the dumplings were overall not good.The water smelled and tasted like bleach, it burned my throat when I took A SIP. Me and my friends were being stared at while eating we were very uncomfortable. She also messed up our orders when there was only ONE other table dining. Mid eating that same order she messed up she snatched her plate WHILE eating and said it was the wrong one. At that point you should’ve just let her have it and change the order. My other friend liked the noodles she messed up and wanted to change her order to that. When she gave us those noodles we saw that it was THE SAME plate that we had previously were eating from. Since the food had no flavor we asked for salt and the salt was thick it came out as chunks. The silverware was also dirty.
