7th Time, Last Time It's often said that you can't truly judge a restaurant until you've been there multiple times. However, my recent experiences here, particularly my 7th visit, have made it clear that sometimes it's better to trust your instincts earlier. Unfortunately, this will be my last time dining at this establishment. Service The service has been consistently disappointing, and it's hard to ignore it any longer. The restaurant opens at 5:00 PM for its second shift, and for the last three visits, the host has greeted us with an unmistakably negative attitude. From eye-rolls to muttered "ugh"s under her breath, it's clear she isn't too thrilled to see us or to be working there. On a recent visit, we arrived at 6:00 PM, and the restaurant was empty. The host, however, proceeded to seat us at two of the least desirable tables in the place--awkwardly located and offering poor views. (She literally only gave us 2 option tables) I've always preferred sitting next to my significant other, and for the past five visits, we've consistently chosen a specific table. It's not an unreasonable request, especially when the restaurant is nearly empty, yet every time ! politely ask for that table, the host acts frustrated.
What makes it even worse is her behavior when I point out the table we've always sat at. Instead of simply accommodating our request, she became visibly annoyed, complaining about an impending "rush hour" and the likelihood of a large party. Mind you, this was all happening in an empty restaurant, and we were the only ones there. It felt like we were being punished for asking for a small comfort--a simple request that should have been a non-issue. Overall Atmosphere Despite the charming ambiance of the restaurant, it's difficult to overlook the growing discomfort with the service. When the staff's attitude becomes so off-putting, it detracts from everything else. What should be a relaxing evening out for us has now turned into a frustrating experience. A warm greeting, a friendly attitude, and accommodating service go a long way in creating a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, this place has lost that spark, and it's hard to justify returning for what is supposed to be an enjoyable night out. If you're looking for a place with good food and a pleasant experience, I would suggest looking elsewhere. The food, while tasty, isn't enough to make up for the consistently poor service. For me, after seven visits, it's clear that this restaurant just doesn't value its customers enough to make it worth...
Read moreOne does not simply order Pho from any regular reataurant. During the chill of the winter months, one's pho must not only be hot enough to warm ones stomach, but the flavor must be equally satiating. Ladies and gentlemen, if you have been tired of subpar pho with equally poor service, I am glad to announce yo you all that your search for the best pho you've ever had is over.
Not only is the broth steamy hot, but the specific flavoring this family restaurant utilizes is spectacular. You can tell that it is freshly made and that much effort has been expended to curate the best flavored broth I've EVER HAD. As a pho enjoyer, I can't believe I've never been here before.
And if that is not enough, the lovely hostess/waitress, who is also part of the family that owns this business is the kindest and warmest soul I've ever had tend me at a Pho restaurant. The service is prompt, warm, and delivered with care. She's also very humorous and will engage with you in a little small talk!
God bless this place. Do yourself a favor and warm yourself up with the most spectacular pho...
Read moreWas able to try this place recently as I was trying to find a Pho restaurant closer to me.
I am already in love with this place. Stepping in, I already felt at home. This restaurant is quite narrow, but makes up in space by being an awkwardly long restaurant. The decor and staff screams Mom and Pop and that's is where the best Pho is usually.
I came in here craving Bun Bo Hue, and was determined to get it. My friends opted for the typical Pho because it is a Pho restaurant. First impressions was the broth from both the Pho and the Bun Bo Hue was that it was less saltier than most restaurant. This is excellent for those who want it less saltier than normal, and those who want is saltier can put extra Hoison sauce or Fish sauce.
I was also able to try their Thai Tea because of a Yelp check-in offer. It was nice a sweet, but...
